Chapter 4: Who I'll Be
At around six-thirty I woke up due to Kamui's excessive singing. I got up and looked at her painfully until she turned around.
"Oh" Kamui began. "You are awake!"
"Sadly... Yeah" I said.
"You need to look good today! After you come out the shower I'll do your hair, pick some clothing out that you could wear, and then we'll head to the academy early"
I sighed, "Why?"
"Because all of us are meeting in front of the academy thirty minutes before we get our headbands since we won't get to see each other for a while"
I was confused for a moment, "What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean... After we get assigned to our squads we spend more time with them on missions and such. We just don't want to forget each other too quickly" She said. "Anyways, hurry up and shower so I can do your hair"
I got up and began towards the shower.
About an hour later I came out, got dressed and Kamui straightened my hair before we began walking towards the school.
When we got there, everyone was clustered by the swing, muttering something.
"Hey Soraya" the brunette haired girl said.
"Oh, hey Amari" I replied. "What is everyone talking about?"
"Oh" She leaned in, "We just got word that there is a new sensei! Everyone is just hoping they get the new sensei".
After she was done, I walked into the building to get a drink of water and ran into Roushi Sensei.
"Hello, Soraya. Ready to finally put on your headband?"
Why wouldn't I be...?
"Yeah, of course" I responded.
"Well, I was just going to gather everyone so go wait in the classroom"
"Ok" I walked in, sat down, and waited for everyone to hurry up.
When five minutes passed, everyone showed up and Kamui sat down next to me.
"OK everyone, you'll find your headbands on the desks" We all looked down and put on our headbands, "Great, you all looking fetching. Anyways, we are in quite a rush so I'll do this fast. Does anyone have any questions?"
Yaski rose his hand.
"Yes, Yaski?" Sensei Roushi asked.
"Um, Sensei Roushi, does this mean that the sensei are busy as well?" Yaski responded with another question.
"No, we've made sure that all your sensei are here so be prepared for training. Now, I'll begin."
We all waited in anticipation for who would be in our squad.
"Okay. Squad One! Kamui, Ran, and Utoku. You're sensei is Taru, he'll be waiting for you in near the ramen shop"
I stared at Kamui and noticed that she was somewhat relieved.
"Squad Two! Amari, Yashiro, and Cam, your sensei is Yamui, she's waiting for you at the gate of the village.
After about three more minutes of name calling, my name was finally called.
"Squad Eleven! Soraya, Shikaru, and Yaski, your sensei is Tora, he'll be waiting for you in the training field"
Kamui was looking at me because she knew I was glad to be on the same team as Yaski. But, I was curious to know who Tora is since he's the new sensei.
As everyone began to exit the classroom, Sensei Roushi stopped Shikaru, Yaski, and I to give up a note.
"Sensei Tora wanted me to give you guys this. It's to let you know what will happen once you enter the training field"
Being the "Know-It-All" Shikaru is, he took the note and began to read it.
"'Dear, Students. As you all know by now, my name is Tora Sarutobi... But, from here on out you will only address me as Sensei Tora or Tora Sensei, which ever you prefer. To get an understanding of what we'll be doing, just know that I model my training courses after my Kakashi. If you know what that means, then you'll understand what this training will be. Best of Luck, Sensei Tora.'" Shikaru finished.
We were all shocked cause we knew what this training course would be.
I never got my water....
