Chapter 2: Too Young to Understand
I began running outside with Kumai, but Suji appeared in front of us. We both stopped in our tracks
"Where are you going little girls? The tea party is just beginning" He said with a smile.
"Get away from them!" My mother shouted. She dashed towards him and threw a kunai from out of her pouch. Suji moved his head
to the left in order to avoid the kunai causing it to stab into the corner.
"Silly wome-" Suji said, but was interrupted by my father's kick to the face. Suji landed on the staircase, wiped his face, and
got back up.
"For a pair of old folk, you sure do have some moves..." He said.
"We aren't as old as you think, Mr. Suji" My father said. He turned to us, "Soraya, leave now... This is your chance"
"Okay, we're going now" I said, but Kumai pulled my arm.
"Wait, can't we just help? It's 4 against 1, we would be bound to win" She said.
"No... We need the house completely empty for this" My mother said. Kumai nodded and we ran out the door.
************
Sukairi, Soraya's mother, turned towards Haru, Soraya's father.
"Haru, I already have one down. Get him in the locations so we can finish this fast" Sukairi said.
"Whatever you say, dear" Haru said.
"Uhm... This isn't the time for your conversations" Suji stated while dashing towards them. They prepared into a stance waiting for him to strike.
Suji went towards Sukairi, attempting to punch her. She grabbed his clutched fist, placed her foot in front of his, and pulled him towards the door.
When Suji fell, my father stomped his head into the hardwood floor, causing breakage to it. Suji looked dead for a moment.
"Haru... We just had that floor installed. Was that really necessary?" Sukairi asked.
"No, but you should know me by now. Nothing is ever necessary with the things I do" He replied. Sukairi dashed up the stairs and stabbed 1 kunai
into the wall where the steps began. Then continued up stairs to the bathroom and the master bedroom.
"Okay, we're all set" Suikairi said.
"Fine, I'll meet you outsid-" Haru began but was interrupted by a piercing noise. All of a sudden, he could no longer taste his past cigar. All
he tasted was blood.
"Mr. Jonai... I expected better of you" Suji said while holding the katana he forced through Haru's chest. "We're you and your wife trained under
the 5th Hokage? I don't think she'd be proud of you right now"
Sukairi stood still in shock.
"Damn you" She said quitely. "DAMN YOU!" Suikari repeated while dashing towards them, but stopped and noticed Haru's hands. He was making, a seal.
"S-Sukairi. I'll be alright. You know what to do, don't let Soraya down" Haru said. He smiled a bloody and smile and closed his eyes. Suikari continued dashing
dashing, but headed towards the door. Suji tried to grab her but Haru's body became hardened. The seal Haru formed connected his hardened body to Suji's
hand.
"Damn" Suji said. Sukairi was forming the connection between the kunais she stabbed into the house. As they connected the house began to glow
blue. A single tear drop fell from her eye while she whispered.
"Goodbye. Haru." Sukairi did the last handsign and the house exploded. The kunais were meant to only enclose the area that would be exploded instead of blowing it up, while impacting surrounding ares. She began running towards the ramen shop where she thought the girls would be.
******
"You're parents seem really awesome" Kamui said while eating her Ramen. I turned towards her and nodded in slight agreement. But I began to smile.
Knowing that your parents were students of the 5th Hokage pretty cool...
"Yeah, I know" I ate some ramen, but as I ate there was an explosion nearby. "Kumai, did you hear that?" I asked her.
"Yes... You don't think he came from your house, right?"
"It couldn't have... M-my parents can handle themselves. B-besides, I know they are strong" I said with slight fear. We both stared into our ramen
bowls, unaware of what was going on.
"Soraya!" a voice shouted from outside the shop. I turned around to see my mother.
"Mom!" I shouted towards her and ran to give her a hug. "I am so glad you are okay" I looked around.
"Where is dad?" I asked. She looked down. "He didn't die.... did he?" I said with a great amount of fear.
"Oh! No! He didn't die.. He was kidnapped by Suji. We blew up the house so he wouldn't escape alive, but he did and took of with your father"
I was slightly relieved.
"So are we going to save him?" Kumai asked. My mother look towards her with a harsh look.
"No" She replied.
"Why?" I asked.
"Because...." She said, then sighed. "Soraya, you are too young to understand right now. We have to focus on getting this info to the Hokage"
I was a little shocked because she said I was too young to understand. I was never too young to understand, until now.
"Well... You can stay with us until your house is repaired" Kumai said.
"That would be nice" My mother said. I looked her with a suspicious look, but all she did was maintain a blank look. Something happened at the house,
but I knew she wasn't going to tell me. Not today.
