Demons tormented Hi’s nightmares at night. Serpents’ fangs pierced him and Ama, and for some reason he was drowning in a river full of blood. Shrieks echoed the area, screams, and cries. She cried tears of blood. Sweating, he hyperventilated and his heart pumped pumped pumped. It pounded and pumped, and pumped and pounded. His blood pressure rose, a chill surrounded him with uneasiness. Ama’s head, in the dream, flew off. Blood surged down her body. A geyser of blood littered the battle ground. He tried to scream, but couldn’t! The serpents now strangled him tighter, tighter, and TIGHTER! The horror would not stop, the terror, the fright, would not cease, it never ended! A silhouette approached Hi with a kunai, about strike, but then when crows crowed loudly into the night, did Hi wake up, from this night of phantoms. {End}

The next morning he told Ama of him having nightmares. She comforted him and told him not to worry because she was there to help him. He went off to work. After an hour of plowing, a snake-like image appeared. A snake surrounded him, and he was cloaked. “Uchiha Hikusa. I’ve finally found you!”
“What do you want?”
“I want to speak with you because I regard you as a hero!”
“A hero?”
“Yes. I am Yakushi Kabuto. The former assistant of the late…Orochimaru”
“Orochimaru? He’s dead? Serves him right!”
“No, it doesn’t. You see, he was a great man, but he still lives…in me!” The man revealed his face and it showed parts of Orochimaru in him.
“I have to kill you then!”
“Why? I have done nothing wrong! I came here to speak with you about…your mother!
“My mother? What do you want with her?”
“That sly Danzo actually gave you her soul! You need a sacrafice to bring her back. You have one. I came here to inform you of where he is”
“Where? Who?”
“The daimyo of the Grass of course! She would be the perfect candidate!”
“I would not sacrifice an innocent life!”
“Then I guess you don’t want your mother”
“I do! More than anything, but-”
“If you do, then juts kill the daimyo! Say she died from health complications! After all, she schemed with Danzo to make the concentration camps for those who didn’t support her!”
“What?”
“Yes she did!” He paused and thought, ‘She’s also been a thorn in my side too. I’d love it if the kid took care of her’ “Don’t you want revenge? Come on, do it!”
“I can’t do it”
“I guess my hero isn’t as strong as I thought! You would have impressed me even more”
“I am strong, but I won’t do it!”
“Pity! I would have told the stories of the great legend, Uchiha Hikusa, the new daimyo of the Land of Grass! Maybe even the first ever Kusakage!”
“Legend? Daimyo? Kusakage?”
“Yes! All the power, wealth, respect, happiness of you, and happiness of you lover would befall you! You might even make the Hidden Grass Village number six of the great nations, a great feat! All that honor and awe would go to you!”
“I guess, but I won’t kill her!”
“I guess you don’t want any of that! I tried to help you! Well, if you decide, here’s a talisman that would give you total of your mother just in case. Hope to see you again!” He threw a kunai with a tag on it, and teleported away.
“Who was that guy? Even though he makes a good point, I won’t do it! I’ll still take this talisman though!” He walked home feeling uneasy. He saw on his way, a serpent consuming a meek mouse, and slithering happily away to its mate.

What should I do? That man’s point burns me on the inside! I really want my mother! I really want to be wealthy and powerful, the Kusakage and daimyo! No. No! Stop your prattling Hi! Get a grip! That is evil; then again, what the daimyo did was evil too. Still I mustn’t, but I have to! In the name of my father! My mother too! I can’t… I shouldn’t though! Make a decision, be a man! Do it, Hi! For your girlfriend and mother! Stop it! You are a hero to some! Conduct yourself! I need to satisfy them then! Fine, I’ll do it! I’ll need to taint my kindness a little to do it! It is necessary though. I must for Ama, my love! For my mother whom I confide in! Come, demons and infect with your evil, fill me with your poison! Take me, I want to be your victim, I’m ready for abduction! Unsex me here!

Hi left for the daimyo’s castle the next day. He entered the solemn black gates. He opened the main door and entered the mansion. He requested to see the daimyo for diplomacy. He went inside the main bedroom and saw her sitting with two bodyguards. The daimyo started the conversation, she said, “Welcome, Uchiha Hikusa, hero of the grass!”
“Thank you”
“What brings you to my home?”
“I wish to speak with you about the incident of the concentration camps here”
“What a tragedy that was!”
“The real tragedy was that you, the supposed leader of the Land of Grass imprisoned your own people! My parents Uchiha Shine and Shinda were in charge of it. Since you conspired with Danzo of Konoha, my father was killed!”
“You have a good reason to be angry, but you must hear the whole story. These were rebels who had planned to kill me because I raised taxes a little! Such extremists needed to be punished, yet I still gave them a chance. They killed my daughter. I then took action, but still mercifully didn’t kill, but simply put in camps. Danzo gave me the idea”
“But because of your cruelty, my father was killed by the ANBU! Then, my mother died in the Uchiha Massacre! I was orphaned and lonely!”
“Danzo also commenced with the massacre, not me! I feel sorry for you! Please forgive me!”
“I cannot because I lost my father. I killed the ANBU who killed my father, and attempted to kill Danzo, but I’m still not content!”
“Revenge will lead to hatred, murder, and then death. Do not fall into that trap as many Uchiha before you have!”

“I still don’t forgive you! I will have my revenge!” He activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and placed a body guard under a genjustu. He killed the other with Chidori.
“PLEASE! I CAN SATISFY YOU WITH ANYTHING! JUST PLEASE DON’T KILL ME! MY FAMILY HAS ALL BEEN WIPED OUT EXCEPT FOR ME! PLEASE!”
“I won’t be satisfied until I get my revenge and I want to be daimyo and Kusakage! I need to secure the happiness of my darling!”
“OK, I’LL GIVE IT TO YOU! YOU’RE DAIMYO NOW AND KUSAKAGE! HAPPY? PLEASE DON’T KILL ME! PLEASE DON’T FALL INTO THE TRAP OF DARKNESS! YOU DON’T WANT TO DO THIS!”
“At first I also thought I didn’t want to do this, but now I realize not only do I need to, I want to!” He sealed his mother’s soul into her. The daimyo became Shinda. Hi debated whether to put the talisman in or not, and hastily did put it in.
The guard under the genjustu, left and said, “Uchiha Hikusa has killed the murderer of the daimyo who rests dead on the ground. She trusted that guard, but it looks like he wasn’t trustworthy! Hikusa is though. Her dying words appointed him as daimyo and Kusakage! She left everything to him. ALL HAIL UCHIHA HIKUSA!”
Things get really chilling next chapter as Hi feels guilty! Ama and Shinda learn of this murder after he becomes daimyo and Kusakage. Kabuto comes to speak with him again and someone else too!
