Itachi slaughtered the Uchiha clan when Sasuke was 8, Kyuubi attacks when Naruto is born. Which is shortly after Sasuke's birth.

i agree for the most part. i'd rep you but i need to spread some around first.

a couple of things to add to your post.

naruto without the kyuubi (assuming kushina held to the original plan and sealed it into herself and died), would still have minato as a father. Minato as a father, Kakashi as a sensei, Jiraiya as a master, he would still have gone very far.

furthermore, Naruto was born with the kyuubi's whiskers, implying that he imbued some of the kyuubi's chakra in the womb. he would probably be able to use the kyuubi chakra to some extent if he gets extracted.

also, having the kyuubi chakra mixing with his own messed up his chakra control, esp when he was young. meaning that without the kyuubi, he would have progressed much easier. also, without the kyuubi he can merge with ma and pa and hold sm for much longer, which is his primary weakness in that mode, the 5 minute limit.


as to sasuke, i don't think his ms attributes should be removed, he would have awoken them anyway through some means or another, even if he did get a nudge from itachi. although seeing as he played much smarter without it, and he went to near blindness in a matter of 3 fights or so, that's not much of a boost.

My only issue with the Ma n Pa Sage Mode, is that it requires them to both stay there and be alive. I don't know if the strongest opponents wouldn't realise this. Think the toads would get attacked first and Sage Mode stopped that way. Naruto's method seems superior, but that's my opinion. Not necessarily correct. hehe

yeah i only put in ms there, because naruto and sasuke have always been balanced out, and as zetsu considers sm naruto to be stronger than ms sasuke, a naruto with a stronger sm would be leagues ahead of base sasuke.

about ma and pa, agreed, it's a bit of a weakness. it's partially compensatable by naruto's increased threat detection in sage mode though, unless you use bansho tenin like pain did it's going to be very hard to hit naruto, or the frogs.

naruto's clones is an excellent method too, but of course once he gets out of sm his power will decrease and he will find it hard to summon them using the scroll. personally, him making 5 clones, having 3 gather chakra somewhere far away and two helping out seems better. merging with ma and pa seems less of a hassle to me, seeing as he can enter into sm much quicker now, and could spam as many clones as he wants without a care for disrupting those gathering chakra. he could always revert to the clone gathering method if ma and pa are incapacitated by that time the battle will probably have ended though hehe

Bit of a seperate issue. But did you notice Naruto managed to go into Sage Mode while running to save Sakura?

Since Kurama is still in kushina. There wont be any Kyubi attack in Konoha, Uchiha will not be relocated and Itachi will get any order to kill his clan. So Sasuke will be guided by His Father and Itachi...

My Point:

Sasuke will still be on top of the academy but his having a hard time since Naruto's parents are there to help him. They both will be at the top and still be rivals...

that's an excellent find. i don't know if kishi was implying that or not, but naruto was training to improve his sm, and if he can enter sm almost immediately and while running, well then it's two of the three major weaknesses of sm dealt with, the other being how long he can hold it for.

the problem is that kishi contradicts himself a bit, vs the third raikage he entered into sm almost at once, while vs madara the same clone took longer for some reason, and now another clone has entered sm pretty quickly inside the 4-tails mouth.

Well, they are in 2 different level's but who may know, may surpass itachi even if he didn't die for Sasuke to have MS.

Think it may have been a chakra issue. Against Madara it was a clone who had just had alot of fights,including the 3rd Raikage.
Inside Yonbi's mouth is the real Naruto. Different to the clones. Also apart from make clones & his brief fight with Nagato(who stole a chunk of chakra) & Itachi, fighting Tobi and the Jinchuuriki paths is the only action real Naruto has seen. Maybe he's fresher.
