Of course it'll hurt, it just won't engulf him, the scale of the blast is smaller to him than most humans so it turns from a deadly fatal attack to a minor injury. Chouji is doing more damage to Deidara and Dei Dei's best strategy is to run.

First of all it was Hizashi not Hiashi.

Second of all: He didn't go head to head with the Gedo. All he really did was land one hit, then the thing sent him flying with a freaking roar.

And we know nothing of the fight against Kakuzu and Hiashi as we didn't see them. But we do know that Darui, Kitsuchi and Hiashi we're also there, so they have most likely played just a big a role in taking them down as Chouji did.

And if you really think Chouji could smack Deidara out of the sky you're simply stupid. Deidara can easily stay out of range and even if he gets in range the Chouji is still far to slow to hit him.

And you think Mei and Kakuzu would DESTROY Deidara??? How can this guy be in your top 15, it sounds like you're just hating on him. Deidara is faster, has more powerful attacks, has longer range and is smarter than both of those two.
