Tailed beasts are not "mindless." I have not read any chapters where it showed a tailed beast attacking a village for no reason. The only times that has been shown was when Madara and Obito were controlling the nine tails. In kumogakure they accused the eight tails of going wild, but this was because it was released from the person whose body it was forcibly sealed into.

If you are referring to the wild way that they attack the villages when they actually DO attack, well please take into consideration that they are giant chakra constructs in the shape of animals. Finesse is hardly on their mind when they want to destroy things as quickly, and with the least amount of retaliation as possible.

With a host, its less that they are able to think and attack in as much as they are being controlled. Within the seal, the beast's power is doled out as necessary, so its not even as if they are using their full capabilities. They seem calmer because they are not the ones in control/ they are not the ones actually angry at the enemy.

Simply the tailed beasts act like animals because of their anger.

They are angry because they are mistreated. However when in the jin, they are treated good or bad by their host. And then they interact more, as that is all they can do.

People say they aren't. Well I would just like to say, how did beasts, with more power and chakra than any other being, get caught if they weren't mindless? Here is what I believe, please dont flame me, I mean why would you want to flame hashirama?

•Tailed beasts are mindless by themselves
•If you enter a tailed beats mind (like Naruto and the 4 tails) then they are able to interact intelligently
•When attacking a village or something they have no idea wtf they are doing and yeah...
•when you control a tailed beast its still not as strong as it could be because like I said, there being controlled
•When a tailed beast and its host can work together I believe that's when they are at their strongest, they can use all the immense power they have, but they also have the hosts intelligence to help them with what there doing without being controlled.

Maybe you're just showing what a boss the Sage of Six Paths is for capturing and distributing the tailed beasts among the shinobi nations. Maybe the so6p had something to do with the level of intelligence we've come to expect from the tailed beasts?

Pretty sure they uh.. Explained the tailed beasts hate towards humanity. I'm uh.. Pretty sure that's why they attack. Read the manga ^_^

In fact, Kurama seems to be more intelligent than a vast majority of the characters in the series. It was explicitly stated that the Tailed Beasts were treated as nothing but constructs of power (By Madara and Hashi for example) and Humanity viewed them as nothing more than that.

nownexplain why when they attack they dont seem to know what there doing, or why is it they get caught? I think it's because there just going on rampages doing what ever they want mindlessly (even tho there not mindless) its like when you get mad and do stupid shit. Get what im saying? Well after Kurama was release from Kushina and the Fourth release the Genjutsu it was under....Kurama knew what the fourth hokage was about to do Kurama saw the altar and the hand signs and it realized what jutsu it was so to analyze hand signs and determine what jutsu you are about to do you would need to reason and for that you would have to have a mind that works.....Now if what you are trying to say is that they go on rampage as you told me lol that's a different thing....You could go on a rampage and do crazy shit as you said but that doesn't mean you are mindless it just means that you are furious lol......How would you feel if someone kidnaped you and force you to be in a cell....Pretty much after you got released if you have the power to do so, you would beat the sh...t out of whomever kidnaped you right??? then that they go and try to destroy everything around them when they go free from a forced imprisoment doesn't mean they are mindless or stupid it just means that you are furious......And yes when they are inside a host they dont much much because they cant they are in a cage with limit space.....
