Taijutsu literally means body technique. That being said, this is the use of ones body for attacks or defenses. It deals with different forms of martial arts and other forms of fighting using the body's natural ability. To use Tai to its fullest, one must go through intense training, preparing the mind and body for it. A great physical stamina is gained through this rough training, as well as a hardened mind. Also, unlike the other types of styles, this particular array of techniques and abilities does not require chakra, though chakra can be used to make the techniques stronger, such as the gentle fist that we have seen so well from Neji and Hinata Hyūga. Taijutsu is faster than it's counterparts, Ninjutsu and Genjutsu due to the fact that it does not generally require hand seals, but rather focuses on stances and poses. Some advances users include Rock Lee, Might Guy, Ay, the 3rd Raikage, Neji Hyūga, and Hinata Hyūga. As I have already started on the Hyuga's, I shall continue. The Hyuga's use their kekkei genkai, the Byakugan, to see vital chakra points to shut off the flow of chakra temporarily through ones body by the use of their Gentle Fist. As for Lee and Guy, they use nothing more than Taijutsu, but at it's most hardened form. They can also open the 8 Gates, which increases their array of abilities, their speed, their strength, but unfortunately takes a huge toll on their bodies. Lee also has a form that is exclusive to him; when he drinks sake, a drastic changes occurs, and he becomes a master of the Drunken Fist. This makes him, well... Very stupid, but at the same time, despite it seeming like he is unaware of what's going on, he dodges everything much better and his movements are unpredictable. And as for Ay and the 3rd, they use a form known as Nintaijutsu. Nintaijutsu is the combination of Taijutsu with ninjutsu, so obviously this requires chakra. Ay and the 3rd can use Raiton to completely coat their bodies in it, and this makes their speed, power, and defense, and reflexes all increase drastically. In the real world, there are many forms of combat such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Kung Fu, and Tae Kwan Doe to name a few.
