A humble breeze passes, the leaves on the trees, and the grass which I stand upon begin to dance. Wondering where Kiritsugu might be, waits patiently while reading up on the way of taijutsu.

Terrain: Plain area of grass (short-mid range) with a surrounding forest (long range).
Note: I remember not going very far in Taijutsu, it was about the 3rd C Rank technique. If you prefer, we can start from scratch. ^^

Somewhat enervated, yet anxious, I found myself running late once again. I was quite sure - no, wait, I was absolutely sure that this was the place we were supposed to meet...
Upon arriving to the fields, my eyes rested upon the sole individual waiting silently on the grass. "My-my apologies," I stammered, rubbing a hand on the back of my head rather sheepishly. "I meant to come sooner, but these days seemed to fill with business."
Holding out a hand, I offered a small, but awkward smile to the man. "Trafalgar...Law, was it?" I inquired politely. "I am Kiritsugu. I hope you can get the most out of this teaching. I promise I'll do my best."

(Did you go over basics when you learned Taijutsu?)

My previous taijutsu teacher didn't really go over it, we basically just started training. Btw, that's an old thread..last year December. ^^
+++++++++++++
Law notices as the man approaches him..immediately he becomes aware that this is no ordinary person, he's the man that was expected. Making sure, Law made a few observations to confirm this was indeed the sensei, the formal dressing and his personality was enough to be convinced. Law then extends his hand to complete a handshake, and then spoke, "Kiritsugu, it's a pleasure to meet you."

Law then reaches for his sword which is strapped on his back, "Please excuse me for a few seconds". Law then walks to a nearby spot, where he places his sword. He's aware that in such training, such a tall sword on his back would restrict certain movements. Immediately after moving his sword, law returns to the spot of Kiritsugu, ready to begin training.

And I hope you don't mind if I start over and give a fulfilling lesson? ^_^
Kiritsugu watched quietly as Law silently placed his sword in a respectful manner down upon the ground and made his way back to the training area. Nodding, he looked at his student with expectant eyes.
"I hope you're ready, Law," Kiritsugu began softly. "I'd like to go over some basics if you don't mind. First, there is the term of positioning, which means, your current position in regards to the environment. Which positioning, there are also a lot of other concepts such as body weight, stances, and use of the forces around us, but we can learn that as time goes on."
With a single hand, he gestured at the field around us. "Well, allow me to start simple. Start by jogging around the field, but stay close enough so you can hear my words. Do some laps, but don't push yourself too hard, just enough to get the blood flowing."

I recently remembered that that training (with TSSB) wasn't my last one. , (I remembered when I saw Wesobi's Training Application Thread, lol. I would still love for you to teach me regularly (with the useful info, notes etc. but is it alright if we continued from the last tech I learned instead of back to D Rank? (Konoha Dairetsukū) – Leaf Great Violent Sky)- B Rank

I listened as Kiritsugu spoke, it seems like the first topic is about positioning. Accepting the task, I then began jogging around the field, still being attentive to sensei's words as I go.

No problem. ^_^ Allow me to go over the basics still, if you don't mind. And back to first person he goes!
"You are, actually," I explained. "Warming up. Warming up is to help your blood start flowing through your muscles so they won't be damaged when you moved on to more physical aspects."
I watched Law jog across the field, watching me attentively as he kept a steady pace, one foot after the other. "Positioning is technically a very, very complicated term, and I continue to tie in more and more aspects of it as we finish the remaining jutsus." Pausing, I thought about my first concept. "Stances. Stances help you re-adjust in such a way so you can react to attacks properly. In Kenjutsu, stances can allow you to easily strike or parry a slash, and in Taijutsu, you are able to maneuver your moves smoothly and tie them together." I motioned for him to pause in his efforts as I formed the Tiger handseal, creating a single clone. "Firstly, you have the ready stance - by shifting your body weight downwards, it can allow you to smooth out the power that your enemy is releasing. Bend both your knees just slightly while simultaneously keeping the feet just a bit apart, with equal distance between one another. For example, if your enemy sent out a huge bullet of Wind and you used a shield of Earth to block it, you would no doubt be sent back a couple of feet by the force of the Wind. You can slow this down by implanting your body weight into the ground with your stance."
Deciding Law was probably getting a bit bored, I turned my gaze onto my clone.
"My clone will now run at you," I instructed. "But when he gets near, proceed to block his punch aimed for your chest by bringing your knee and your elbow down upon it, perfectly timed. Make sure to time it properly."

Sure. ^^
I listen as Kiritsugu speaks while noting down a few things at the same time. I then notice the created clone, not losing focus, I listen to sensei's instructions. I await the approach of the clone while preparing to successfully complete the task.
As the clone charges forward, I inhale then exhale smoothly while watching the movements of the clone. I proceed to quickly calculate the force of the clone's attack, by considering his speed and approximated body weight. As he's close and proceeds to extend his fist to strike me, I raise my right knee while driving my elbow downwards to catch the clone's fist in the section between my elbow and knee, the force of my elbow's strike is also capable of shattering the bone.

A painful grimace passed over my clone's face, just moments after he dissipated as I gave Law a nod of approval. "Now, in actual combat," I said. "Keep in mind that when you bring your knee and elbow together simultaneously, it must be timed so that you are able to execute this move. Furthermore, depending on which limb strikes first, the angle of your opponent's move will also be changed.
Say, if your elbow came down first, the punch or kick would be moved a little more down, and if your knee is used to block the attack, then the angle would be slightly elevated. Adjust if necessary."
I pause a moment, allowing Law a short break as I drew a water bottle from my own cloak, raising my gaze into the sky as I sighed uneventfully to myself.
"Well, when you are ready," I inquired softly, creating another clone. "Now proceed to punch my clone twice with fists, the second one launching him high into the air. Then proceed to jump up and follow him in the air, punching him back down onto the ground as you take out four shuriken, pinning him into the ground with them."
I then shrugged.
"Lastly, spin in the air, drilling him into the ground as you land for a finishing blow."

Law, as usual listens attentively as Kiritsugu gave some valuable information. He's certain that he's found the right Taijutsu teacher, one that takes the time out to not only teach the techniques, but educate about Taijutsu itself. Staying focused, Law receives the next instruction. He slowly approaches the clone, and proceeds to perform a punch in his face. That punch is just to throw him off balance for a moment. Law then performs another punch as the clone is vulnerable, this punch is more powerful than the previous, it strikes his abdomen as an uppercut, launching the clone upwards. Not allowing him to get out of reach, Law jumps into the air and performs another punch, this punch launches him back to the ground. Law then quickly reaches for four shuriken, he grabs them with his right hand and places one between each finger (except between the thumb and index finger). Thanks to experience and Ninjutsu training, Law throws the shuriken, which pins the clone onto the ground. Law then makes a landing beside the clone and awaits further instruction.

Kiritsugu watched silently as Law fluidly finished the move, landing besides the clone silently as his eyes rested on Kiritsugu's own, waiting for further instructions.
"Notice how you used a bit of Ninjutsu here," Kiritsugu explained. "When using those Shurikens, make sure you target both the opponent's hands and feet, to completely immobilize them."
He then gave Law a small smile. "Nonetheless, excellent job! Now, please follow me."
After assuring he had Law's attention, and that the student had rested enough, he guided him over to a small cliff where boulders and rocks dotted the ground.
"Now, many of the bones in the human body are in fact more tougher than rock, so consider this the first step. I want you to charge chakra in your elbow and then smash the rock with all your strength. Use your other hand as a supporting factor."
As he watched Law perform this attack, he went over another basic:
"This jutsu takes a lot of strength and body weight into factor, as your opponent would be using his upper body. To defend against this appropriately, you would want to use a defensive stance.
By shifting your dominant feet forwards while pointing your other feet in a 90 degree angle to side to create a sort of "L", you make your body face more towards to the side and make yourself a smaller target to the opponent. And also, because most of your body weight is emphasized on your hind leg with the support of the ground (Newton's third law, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction), you can defend against many moves in this manner."

As Law follows Kiritsugu, he listens to the important words of his sensei, certainly the words of a wise man and taijutsu master. As Law arrives at the cliff, he notices several rocks laying around, immediately he has a feeling something interesting might happen. As he receives the instructions from Kiritsugu, he becomes assured that he can successfully perform this technique. Law is already experienced..and skilled with coating/enhancing parts of his body with chakra. Law takes a few steps and finds a suitable rock, he then gathered a portion of his chakra, followed by channeling it through his chakra network, and to the chakra points located at his right elbow. As soon as the chakra is charged and at the elbow, Law proceeds to strike the rock with this elbow while using the other hand for support. The force successfully smashed the rock, he then looked towards Kiritsugu while making a small smile.

Kiritsugu grinned, just slightly, at his student's motivated efforts - dusting off some of the debris from the rock that had landed upon his shoes, he gave a silent nod.
"As you saw for yourself," he explained. "This jutsu is extremely powerful by itself. Any skilled Taijutsu user would know that close range is the most dangerous range to be. Such moves like this take a very short time, with much power, so it would be hard to dodge. It also hits a wide range, giving off quite the area of attack."
Pausing, he smiled at Law. "Well, I am quite sure you'll be able to put that to good use."
Forming another Shadow Clone mid range from Law, he gestured at it. "Proceed to start running at my clone. When you get near him, jump into the air and aim your dominant leg at his head. Keep in mind that your dominant leg is always stronger than your other leg, however, by using it, you also put a lot of body weight into the attack, so think of the downsides and the risks also."

As Law received the instructions, he shifted in direction to face the clone. Law then charged forward, straight towards his opponent. While running, he enhanced his feet with a small portion of chakra to ensure that he doesn't trip and stumble. As soon as he's in range, he jumps upwards to gain height, followed by using his dominant leg to strike the clone in the head, additional force was achieved thanks to his body weight.

Kiritsugu nodded, satisfied, as he watched the clone being repelled at a great speed. "One important concept in this jutsu," he explained to Law. "It's purely to strike your opponent away, and in battle, can also lengthen the range between you two. This can be fairly important, especially if your enemy is someone who happens to specialize in close range combat, much like Jyuken or Taijutsu users."
He paused, gazing at Law. "I'm quite sure you know Raiton already, so I would like you to induce this in your next jutsu."
Forming the Tiger handseal, he created a single clone mid range from his student.
"Begin running at my clone and when you get near him, charge Raiton into one of your hands and strike him with an uppercut palm attack."
Crossing his arms, he continued his words:
"Also, keep in mind that running allows for great momentum if you also stomp down with your dominant foot AND then punch. Especially if you use your weaker hand, it makes up for the lack of power due to your stable footing."

"Ah, I get to showcase my skill in Lightning"
Eager to perform the next technique, Law closes his eyes for a couple seconds, gathering a portion of his chakra during this time which will be eventually used. With the chakra gathered, Law begins to concentrate. La proceeds to run towards the clone at high speed, as taught by his sensei, speed is an advantage in taijutsu. While running, Law charges his right hand with Lightning chakra. Once in range, Law places the advice of Kiritsugu into action, Law stomps to gain a stable footing, followed by performing a palm uppercut on the clone. He then turns around in the direction of Kiritsugu, "How did I do?".

"You did well," Kiritsugu replied, watching his clone fly up into the air and vanish in a puff of smoke. "However, let's describe this jutsu a bit more before moving on.
What was the purpose of the Raiton chakra itself and how does it make this move different from just a regular uppercut?"

When Lightning chakra is infused at a body part or in an object, it should create rapid vibrations. For objects such as a kunai or sword, the vibrations result in the blade having increased piercing ability. When channeled to a part of the body something similar happens, but instead of piercing, the body part becomes enhanced, adding to the strength of taijutsu. SO basically, a lightning charged uppercut is more powerful than a regular uppercut.

"Good response," Kiritsugu said. "However, while it is indeed more powerful than a regular strike, the Raiton chakra also applies numbing and possible paralysis effects on the area it strikes. Keep that in mind - much as if you're charging a kunai with Raiton or Futon, there are always extra effects on your attacks."
He paused, readying his next lecture.
"So, side stepping was an interesting concept I noticed after the [Custom Jutsu of something like "flip" was created.] I've seen it used in many ways, and while [our rules state] that it is necessary to explain how you defend against a move, often times, side stepping could be a creative and easy way to do so.
The best example of this would be something I saw recently while reading Battle Tests late at night. In between the battle of KeotsuEclipse and Scorps (which, by the way, is an amazing sensei test of the higher tier), I noticed how Scorps used this concept:
As I turn invisible, through the use of my Byakugan I can notice the approaching wide spread of wind blades. As I focus chakra into my whole body, I take advantage of my inherent agility and flexibility to pull out the impossible. In a very "matrix" like motion, I spin, using a known movement but executed with the sole purpose of avoiding the wind blades. I take a lower stance while rotating, letting one of the wind blades pass above me with a few inches only to spare, while jumping in a spring like motion while rotating and kicking the air to avoid a lower wind blade. What I do is basically use a Taijutsu move to move in such a way that I can avoid being hit by the wind blades and remain invisible. This is done in a fluid movement by taking advantage of the fact that the wind blades are thin and small while dense and fast and that as a Hyuuga I'm faster in terms of agility and fluid body movement than normal ninjas.
"
Creating a clone, he continued on to his next move. "You are just about to use this move as well. Naturally, this is a spinning back kick, but in the process, you can also dodge moves."
Gesturing at his creation, he nodded at Law. "Proceed to do this now and keep this concept in mind."
