*the student appears, stumbling out of a tree. He had slept overnight at the training grounds to make sure he wasn't late. He dusts himself off and stands at attention, as if his eccentric entrance didn't occur*

I'm ready, sensei! Thanks for training me!

Yes, sensei!

*drops and starts doing push-ups while giving his answer*

Taijutsu is one of the three main classifications of ninja arts and combat, beside Ninjutsu and Genjutsu. Taijutsu, which translates into "body techniques" refers to physical techniques that derive from martial arts! This can be anything from simple punches and kicks, to more complex disciplines like custom body stances and fighting styles!

The inherent advantage of taijutsu is that the user does not need to expend chakra, and therefore, the only theoretical limit on such a discipline is the physical condition of the user's body, and their stamina and metal fortitude. Some ninjas, like Rock Lee or Gai-sensei, focus almost exclusively on this aspect, training their bodies to the extreme and allowing them to pull off almos superhuman feats, such as the opening of the Eight Inner Gates!

While chakra is not required for taijutsu, it can enhance it. Good examples include the Hyuga's Gentle Fist art, and the Third Raikage and Ay's lightning chakra enhanced nintaijutsu.

Perhaps the only disadvantage to this art is that it almost always requires physical contact, a nightmare web fighting opponents specialized in long range. Also, it can be seen as the most brute of the three arts, an inexperienced fighter will lose to a more seasoned veteran! Also, bodily limits and hindrances by the opponent will easily halt a taijutsu user's assault, whether something like Genjutsu or poison!

*I keep a mental note of how many push ups I've done as I finish answering. I continue to do more while I wait for sensei's response* 50... 51... 52...

This is the most complete description of Taijutsu I recieved. Well done!

Good. Let's start right away then with the techniques then.

(Sennen Goroshi) - 1000 Years Of Death
Rank:E
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:N/A
Damage Points:5(apply damage cost for kunai and explosives separately if either or both are used with this jutsu)
Description:The user makes the sign of the tiger and force able punches it into the enemy's behind.

Create the tiger hand seal and jab it into your opponents behind. This is a rather rare technique to be used. It can be enhanced with kunai and explosives to give it more damage but on it's on it is rather used to confuse the opponent and send them flying.

Tell me it's strong points, weak points and possible creative uses.

:yayy: aww shucks, thanks, sensei :)

*thinks for a moment*

Well, sensei, this technique really does seem like a joke jutsu. However, like everything in our world, it has its strengths and weaknesses.

One of the strengths is that this jutsu thrusts an opponent from their behind. If caught off guard, it is widely known that an opponent's behind is one of the least guarded spots on their body, and if a particularly skilled shinobi manages to pull of this technique... well, let's just say the opponent will experience some extreme discomfort, to say the least.

As for weaknesses, this taijutsu technique is laughably weak, so if the opponent, for example, is wearing armor, it essentially is rendered useless. Furthermore, it requires too much timing and precision to be considered an effective technique against faster, stronger foes.

Creative uses? Well, I suppose I could hold a kunai in between the tiger seal I make, resulting in a world of pain. Would it be possible, sensei, to channel chakra through this technique? So for example, if I do manage to rear-end my opponent, could I channel Earth chakra through my fingers and into their... you know... yeah...

*after giving my explanation, I walk over to a training dummy. Forming the tiger seal in my hand, I then make an extremely melodramatic pose as I squat and retract my arms, ready to strike. My face is one of comical concentration as I absolutely focus my attention on the dummy's flat, straw backside. Then, with a loud battle cry, I scream "1000 years of Death!" as I, rather anticlimactically, thrust the raised fingers of the tiger seal into the straw backside of the dummy*

Success, sensei? *I look at him for approval, with my hands still within the dummy. I try my best not to laugh...*

Lmao! I love the way you reply. Keep up the good work! Now about your question regarding the elemental chakra. Well technically yes, you can channel chakra but I've never seen this done before. The best thing to do is take a kunai and channel lightning or fire chakra through it and then jab it lol.

Let's continue:

(Gangeki) - Rock Attack
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 10
Description: The user will strike their opponent with a strong punch to the chest

(Dainamikku Entori) - Dynamic Entry
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:N/A
Damage Points:10
Description:A taijutsu attack were the user does a jumping kick into the opponents face.

(Konoha Reppū) - Leaf Gale
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points:10
Description: This technique is a good example of how even simple taijutsu can become a pre-eminently destructive, lethal technique. The attack is a simple rear spinning low kick, but a strong enough user can send a large adult flying as if they weighed nothing. The goal is to throw the enemy off balance, and deal damage to the lower half of their body.

I want you to merge these three techniques into a single taijutsu move as if you were fighting someone. Make a combo with these three.

A combo, sensei? Hm. *I look at a second training dummy, stroking my chin as I evaluate the Jutsu that sensei had given me and attempting to formulate a strategy. After I moment, I have a revelation and do some warm up stretches, ready to attack!*

*I begin by striking a Bruce Lee-esque pose. Then, I take a forward leap, sticking my left leg out and aiming at the dummy's head. At the same time, I scream "Dynamic Entry!!!", Gai-sensei style*

(Dainamikku Entori) - Dynamic Entry
Rank: D
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:N/A
Damage Points:10
Description:A taijutsu attack were the user does a jumping kick into the opponents face.

*This causes the dummy's upper body to be pushed back. Its feet are still planted on the ground, though. Then, following up with the momentum of the Dynamic Entry, I do a small combat roll and transition my stance into a lower one. I then perform the Leaf Gale Technique at the dummy's feet, after my short combat roll. (In the timeframe, this is a little after the dummy's upper body is pushed back (meaning, it's at an angle)*

*by performing the low sweep, the dummy's legs are uprooted from the ground, and tossed into the air. With the combination of the first two Jutsu, the dummy is now in the air, at sensei's chest level and almost parallel to the ground. Since I had used my right foot to sweep kick (alternating from left to right to maintain optimal momentum), I then proceed to use my left foot (which I had rotated about; it's retracted), to push myself up from the low stance into a standard tai stance. This push allows me to gain some speed as I manage to end up right next to the dummy (in the timeframe, it's still "floating", I'm just moving fast). Then, with my right fist, I perform a downward strike perpendicular to the ground and into the dummy's chest*

(Gangeki) - Rock Attack
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 10
Description: The user will strike their opponent with a strong punch to the chest

*this sends the dummy straight down, flailing wildly at my assault. It hits the ground with a thud, and there are dents in the impact points that I made. After the combination is finished, I wipe some sweat from my brow*

... Was that acceptable, sensei? *I was afraid that the combo wasn't good enough, or I may have misused a technique...*

(Konoha Senpū) - Leaf Hurricane
Rank: D
Type: Attack
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points: 10
Description: A taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks. Firstly, the opponent's evasion margin is restrained upon seeing the high kick, thus augmenting the chances for the low kick to hit the mark connecting to the rib cage area. So originally the high kick is little more than a feint.

Start by doing a session of high kick which are actually a feint and then do low kicks aiming at the rib cage area with both.

*I do as sensei instructs, performing a series of high kicks at a dummy, not actually hitting the dummy. While it's obviously distracted (lol), I then rotate, delivering a fierce low kick that pummels the dummy's rib cage. I manage to do so in a way that allows me to conserve my momentum, maximizing the impact*

Like that?

With this powerful taijutsu, the user kicks just above the head. Because the power of the kick from the ground is instantly converted into a blow, the enemy hit with this attack will be launched high into the sky.

(Asshō) - Pressure Palm

(Asshō) - Pressure Palm

Range: Short

*Not giving the dummy a moment of respite, I then again follow up with this technique, thrusting my opponent's abdomen and causing it to rise upward, once again.*

I don't think I have any questions, sensei, these techniques would seem fairly straightforward. But could I use these techniques in conjunction with one another, "juggling" my opponent?

*I look over at the dummies, which are beaten up* I kinda feel sorry for them.

These seem like very basic taijutsu moves, sensei. Then again, we're at C-ranks, I suppose.

(Hōshō) - Crumbling Palm
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 15
Description: The user strikes the opponent with a forwarding palm thrust.

*I open my hand up, forming an open arm. Focusing on the training dummy before me, I then perform a series of palm thrusts, hitting the dummy, an alternating between my left and right hands*

(Tokken) - Thrusting Shoulder
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 15
Description: The user will jump into the opponent thrusting their shoulder to strike them.

"Is this essentially a tackle? How crude."

*I run forward at the training dummy, giving my ususal battle cry as I hit the dummy, shoulder first. I push all my weight forward, as if leaning on the dummy. It goes down easily*

(Shōshitsu) - Rising Knee
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 15
Description: The user will strike their opponent with an upwards thrust with their knee.

*Afterwards, I then thrust my knee, kneeing another dummy. I do this multiple times until the poor straw guy can't take it anymore.*

Good, same drill.

(Hayabusa Otoshi) - Peregrine Falcon Drop
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points:15
Description: The user grabs a falling opponent by their ankles, wraps his legs around their waist, and drives them head first into the ground, similar to the Front Lotus.

(Dainamikku Akushon) - Dynamic Action
Rank: C
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:N/A
Damage Points:15
Description: The user flips towards the opponent and attacks with a series of punches and kicks equalling 7 attacks.

(Kage Buyō) - Shadow of the Dancing Leaf
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points: 5
Description: A technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching his or her body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. The technique is usually preceded by a swift upper kick that will launch the target into the air. It is mainly used to position an opponent into a vulnerable aerial position. This move by itself is harmless, but it is usable as a stepping stone for a great many powerful techniques like Front Lotus and the Lion Combo. That said, it also has a rather high degree of difficulty.

"Ok, here goes!!!" I strike my usual Taijutsu pose and give a battle cry.

I first begin with:

(Dainamikku Akushon) - Dynamic Action
Rank: C
Type:Attack
Range:Short
Chakra Cost:N/A
Damage Points:15
Description: The user flips towards the opponent and attacks with a series of punches and kicks equalling 7 attacks.

Throwing a fierce series of random physical punches and kicks, hitting the dummy 7 times.

Then, I follow up with:

I swiftly kick upward, causing the dummy to fly in the air. I take a leap, positioning myself next to the dummy in mid-air, and finish it off with:

(Hayabusa Otoshi) - Peregrine Falcon Drop
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points:15
Description: The user grabs a falling opponent by their ankles, wraps his legs around their waist, and drives them head first into the ground, similar to the Front Lotus.

Grabbing the dummy with my ankles, I then wrap my legs around its waist, driving it head first into the ground with a noticeable impact!

I do some stretches after the combination is over.

"Sensei, do you use Taijutsu a lot in your battles? What's your favorite fighting style?" I ask in curiosity.

*I lower my body stance, taking aim at my target. Performing a low sweep on the target with left leg, whilst rotating on my right. My target is lifted slightly into the air. As I rotate after the initial kick, I place my left leg down, using it as the pivot and quickly rotating on it, hitting the target slightly higher than my first kick. This begins to lift the target up. I continuously perform this switching and lifting rotating motion, to the point where the dummy is cleared from the ground. At this point, my rotation's momentum is high enough for me to feel a sensation of "lifting", and I meet the target in the air as well. I then deliver a series of high-speed rotating kicks, and finish off with a fierce heel drop that sends my target smashing into the ground.*

"Seems simple enough."

When you learn shadow clone, you can perform the last technique until you can't use it.

Good job!

(Shishi Rendan) - Lions Barrage
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points:15
Description: A variant technique of the Front Lotus, It is an ultra-fast combo attack that requires an advanced physical condition and a certain knack for it. The opponent is first kicked into the air and shadowed with the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf. Upon inflicting a blow, one takes advantage of said opponent's counterattack to spin around and rise again for further assaults. Since the fall is increased in velocity with each blow, the damage when one is eventually struck to the ground is inconceivable. All variations end with the opponent being thrown to the ground and kicked in the chest.

This one I will explain since it's more complicated. You will start by kicking your opponent into the air where you will then jump after them performing the Shadow of the Dancing leaf to match their movements. You will be then beneath them. You use the opponent to spin in the air to kick them where your first blow, quite apparent will be blocked which is what you want to achieve. Using the counter attack your opponent does you will spin to do the actual blow. You then simply continue with a barrage of strikes which will increase the speed of the fall making the landing much more painful. Here is a video for you to check out.

(Suiken) - Drunken Fist

The user can either make themselves drunk or immitate the method by use of swaying and uneven balance on their feet to attack their opponents a total of 12 variant attacks.

"Oh, I know this jutsu, sensei! Sasuke used this during the preliminaries of the Chuunin Exams."

Realizing how much physical strain this jutsu was capable of inflicting, I do a few sets of stretches, loosening my muscles and ensuring there was as little strain as possible on my calves, my thighs, and my lower body.

I look at the clones that sensei had created for the training session.

"So, which one of you copies of the great Cobalt-sensei wants to die first?" I joking taunt.

Rushing them, I do a power slide at the end of my run, delivering a fierce upward kick with my left leg to one of sensei's clones. He's launched upward.

I then follow behind the clone as he's up in the air, leaping up and performing the following technique:
(Kage Buyō) - Shadow of the Dancing Leaf
Rank: C
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: N/A
Damage Points: 5
Description: A technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching his or her body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. That said, it also has a rather high degree of difficulty.
I mimic the clone's movements, as if I were his shadow.

Proceeding to spin my body around a full 360 degrees, I then attempt to deliver a kick to the clone's side with my right foot. As predicted, he blocks with his right hand! My foot and his arm are now pushing against each other, and I then use this tension to propel myself upward, spinning some more around the clone's body, elegantly maneuvering in the air. At the end of the arc, I am above sensei's clone.

I then deliver a barrage of attacks with all my available limbs, pushing the clone further to the ground. Before the both of us impact, I then deliver a final, definitive blow, rotating my body once more and smashing sensei's clone to the ground with my right foot.

Not a single wasted movement, although my approach may have been a little slow.

There's a noticeable crater on the ground. The clone disperses, and I lie, tired.

"Phew... that one takes quite a toll on our body, huh, sensei? Give me a minute..."

I rest for a couple of minutes.

"Got any Sake on you, sensei?" I ask. Sensei looks on quietly.

"Well, I've got some here. It was supposed to be a gift for you when we were done with the training, but I suppose we can break it out now. Wanna share?"

Taking some hearty drinks, it's only a matter of time before my cheeks flush red. My eyes are dazed and confused, and my stance is that of the infamous Drunken Fist, used sparingly by Rock Lee.

"....whaddya lookin' at, phunk?!?!" I say in a drunken stupor to another one of sensei's clones.

Not waiting for an answer, I run up to him (as well as a drunk can run XD) and I deliver a series of 12, completely random, unpredictable, no holds barred, explosive, and incredibly powerful attacks.

After my assault, the clone poofs away.

"YOLO, MOTHERFU-" I shout, and drop, unconscious, completely passed out.

After a couple of hours, I awaken, drool coming out of my mouth, and my head pounding... I jerk up.

"Sensei... what happened?!" I ask, confused. Sensei was meditating under a tree, and quietly indicated what happened. I still had one more technique I needed to perform.

"Oh, sorry... I got carried away, huh?" I rub the back of my head sheepishly, embarrassed.
