One of the interesting points in Naruto is the concept of "symmetry", both in terms of events and in terms of characters.
For example, if you pay attention to teams, you will find that one is outspoken and rash and the other is calm and to some extend more logical. For an instance, Naruto-Sasuke, Hidan-Kakuzu, Kiba-Shino, White-Black Zetsu, Kisame-Itachi, Jiraya- Oro and so many other examples.
Regarding events, I can refer to defeating most arrogant people by most humble ones, Kabuto-Itachi. and also if we have general look at Naruto-Sasuke, we can see that Naruto lost to Sasuke in the final valley; in their second encounter (when Sakura went to kill Sasuke by herself), they reached a draw. Actually the course of events and the plot tells us that eventually Naruto will be able to bring Sasuke back. Therefore, Naruto will win Sasuke in their last encounter. Please pay attention that for Naruto killing Sasuke is not an option and bringing him back is indeed the "winning". Therefore, this symmetry of the plot, characters and events is one of the factors which I think has made Naruto an interesting story.
