Symbolism in 655 that I didn't get in my first read.

As much as it pains me to say this, Kishi is showing that Sasuke still isn't good yet.
He is using Minato to compare
Kakashi to Naruto
and
Obito to Sasuke
This likely means that Sasuke is next for his TNJ/ complete conversion back into a morally upright character.(Will be done by Naruto) This means that Sasuke's conversion will not take place after the war, but in battle.

At first I didn't understand this, but there are two things this page tells the reader.
1. Naruto is the guiding light that will light the way to the right path for the world to follow.
2. That right now there is darkness/ tragedy/ bad stuff about to go down. In other words something terrible enough to overshadow Obito's time of playing villian.:whip:

To sum up this week's chapter, it was pretty much like a season finale for Kishi's manga. He brought a resolution to the major conflict that was the main focus of recent chapters and foreshadowed the troubles to come when he comes off hiatus.:vincent:

Well thats what I gleaned from this week's chapter. Hope you enjoyed it.:X3:
Let me know what you think or anything else you got from the chapter down below.

Kishi's been using a lot of symbolism lately.

I like how Minato mentioned Kakashi and Obito's friendship, and the Naruto looked at Sasuke. Nice way to put some closure on such a long conflict, while also foreshadowing the conflict to come.

What do you mean by 'right now there is darkness/ tragedy/ bad stuff about to go down'. Is it that dark moon thingy you're talking about? If so, it's right above the Shinju tree. Maybe that means something?

Madara himself told us the real problem here. The tree/Juubi has been released.

With Obito losing control of the TB chakra, it will act wildly now. I.e. it will seek to re-absorb the TB.

Still Existing Threats in Naruto-verse

Edo Madara - full-Rinnegan user, Mokuton, Eternal Mangekyou and brilliant tactical mind. Edo regeneration. Unlimited chakra. Enough said. He has some unplayed trump card.

Orochimaru - Full arm chakra back. In control of 3/4 of the Hokage.
Sasuke - Hidden agenda, EMS user. Has loyal followers. Is NOT cooperating with Naruto anymore is my guess. (Notice, we do not see Sasuke follow Naruto)

-The Shinju tree is at best a manifestation of the 10 tails, with no current master. It's going to try to suck the TB dry.
-The fruit of the Shinju tree which my guess, will be eaten by either Madara or Sasuke.
-The tailed beasts. They do NOT trust humans, they trust Naruto/the Sage. Some might turn on the alliance.

This manga isn't over yet, kids. Hold on tight to your seats.

Yeah, I noticed too how Naruto shouted to Sasuke to follow, but he didn't...

Seeing how Naruto just defeated Obito you would expect there to be light which symbolizes hope, but instead there is darkness, which describe bleak times. Darker than Obito's (moon was still shining in Obito's part.
Chances are Madara has already activated his trump card.

Anyway, though the we Don't know what happened. We do know that there is a darkness in which Naruto will act as a guiding light to SA and possibly the world.

Come to think about it , alot of symbolism has been used specially with the Kakashi=Naruto and Obito=Sasuke . Things are about to get getter. As it once said "the dawn is darkest before the light "(something like that) It might be dark ,but there's someone willing not to give up even during the darkest hour.

Can't see the resemblance, Sasuke isn't like Obito at all neither is Naruto like Kakashi.

Kakashi and Obito are like Naruto and Sasuke in reverse.
Also they were talking about how Kakashi was Obito's closest friend so only he could truly understand Obito.
Its the same with Naruto and Sasuke. Only Naruto can sympathize with Sasuke.

Pretty much this. Obito is the failure that went rouge. And Kakashi is the genius that stayed true to the will of fire. So it's like basically if Naruto and Sasuke switched roles.

Which I think is interesting because it's really the only case where the failure is evil (Hashirama/Jiraiya/Naruto) and the genius is good. (Madara/Orochimaru/Sasuke)

Not calling Hashirama a failure but he does fit the role of the light hearted hero like Jiraiya and Naruto
