Tell me what you know of Kenjutsu, and some notable users.

I know that Hayate gekko used it in the first installment of naruto to defend his life yet he died in the end during the chunin exams. The seven ninja swordsman of the mist are a couple more that can use this art. Mifune can use it, obviously. Kakashi used a dagger as a kid but i'm not sure if that's the same thing, Itachi uses one to kill his village and i do believe he uses it for his genjutsu as well. This leads me to the explanation of what it actually is and what it can do. Since itachi uses a sword in his genjutsu this means that kenjutsu can be used in tandem with genjutsu, also with the basics of taijutsu and ninjutsu. Kenjutsu is the art of the blade, yet more than a extension of the arm but a source of pure swiftness and power. Kenjutsu can be combined with our chakra and thus we can perform jutsu with our sword and or weapons.
