humbly sits on the ground both legs crossed with his arms resting on them while both his katana and wakizashi lay crossed on the ground as he waits for a certain someone.

how long is it going to take. i know i have to learn patience but DANG!

As the day has only begun,as the sun shines on the training grounds,a young man awaiting his sempai,awaiting and waiting when suddenly a figure with black,short spiky hair suddenly appears out of now where coming from a destination no one knows about with a duff bag on his back filled with practice katanas and instruction books.Poofing his last bit of smoke from his cigarette he tosses it away and stomps on as the smoke passes though his mouth
Oui sorry for my lateness,had to take care of business.Eh why are we here again?
As he ponders and waits the young male's response Ian Senju sits apon a tree leaning back and begins staring into space...

as the man poofs from nowhere jinso is suddenly started as he hears the man's voice coming from a nearby tree that he know's was unoccupied a moment ago. jinso's shocked emotion quickly changes to that of irritation when he realizes that his teacher doesn't even remember why he's here and has to remind him.

Are you serious?! You were supposed to be teaching me proper swordplay! Do you remember now?

As your mouth rants off towards me,I simply toss myself off the ground,kipping of the ground and landing on my feet,hands in my pockets with my sexy white gloves on.Ian stands up and looks at you with a now serious face,after hearing his students words uttering,quite irritated at you,Ian opens the mouth of his duff bag,searching for a pencil and paper for you.As he finds them talking to himself "Found it" he utters under his breath,he then turns towards you flinging the pencil and paper at you to grab and preparing to test you knowledge of the blade.
Oh pipe down you runt,I know why we are here,now first start off by telling me what is Kenjutsu,The Mechanics Behind,The Way its can influence others and what is a Katana in your own wordsAs Ian finishes stating the assignment he takes up your weapons as they will not be needed at the given moment and rests them against the same tree Ian was laying upon,then out of laziness Ian simply returns back to his original position awaiting your assigned paper

well...Kenjutsu's literal meaning is sword techniques. The main mechanics behind Kenjutsu is stances, sword positions and body positions. The sword can give a person the satisfaction for power knowing that great power comes with the blade if wielded properly. But the katana in my own words is an extention of a persons arm. Also it can be the manifestation of a persons will or a tool that is used to direct a warrior in his own path. that's what i think of a katana.

As Ian hears the young mans words,and ponders about it momentarily,analyzing if these words you spoke are what he is looking for,but none the less its was satisfactory for Ian.As he prepares to continue the lesson,Ian picks up himself and adds in his own words towards your description Not bad...not bad at all but let me add in my own and see if you could think of anything else,but yes Kenjutsu means sword techniques but it is not just that,it is also a principal,a way of life....in other the words the way of the katana....A katana is generally an extension of ones spirit..the warrior spirit known as Ki(Swordman Spirit),its a tool that should be used to save lives,protect the innocent and to vanquish darkness with the light of the blade but then there are those who miss uses the blade for evil purposes as like slaying the weak and to stain there blade with the lust of bloodshed,an example are the Swordsman of Hidden Mist,they are merciless,blood thirsty warriors of the blade..in my eyes they are a disgrace and should not wield a blade.Anyway for this we will practice using Bokken(wooden swords) and later if I find you ready you will have a chance to use those weapons of yours,but first tell about the different pathways of which a blade can travel and how is it performed.The paths I wish you to elaborate are:

• Vertical Slash
• Diagonal Slash
• Thrust/Lodge

Jinso anxiously nodded with every word that his teacher speaks while still sitting on the ground giving his full attention with curious eyes. He then gets excited when his teacher gives him direction that he knows the answers to.

horizontal slash is a slash directed from side to side either started from left to right or right to left. Vertical slash is a slash directed from up and down either started from top to bottom or bottom to top. a diagonal slash is a slash that can be more versatile mainly because it has more starting locations. It can start from bottom left to top right, top left to bottom right, bottom right to top left, and top right to bottom left. the thrust is the most powerful of the basic sword techniques because you drive the sword thru the body badly damaging muscle, internal organs, bone and fleshly skin.

As Gil ponders on your answer yet again he laughs heartily as you answered very well,as he does Gil rises from the ground and reaches into the duffle bag yet again holding two bokken swords and a diagram showing the parts of the sword and labels showing all of them.As Gil takes his own bokken which is marked with the knightray's family marking and a regular Bokken he tosses it towards you sticks his own into the ground and throws you the paper to memorize it.Ok young shinobi first thing is today is to study the diagram and tell me the major points of the sword and its weak points,also tell me why you have this sword wakizashi with you and what they mean too you

There are weak points? Well, the reason i carry the wakizashi is for my weak arm. it's lighter which gives it a quicker swing just in case i need to make a quick defence.

Yes there is a major weak point,the user can easily lose grip of a katana with no proper tutelage,thus making there blade dull as a butter knife.But in actuality the katana is weak on the duller side known as the Hi this is the weakest point if I recall on a katana as a powerful enough strike can shatter the blade in half.Refer to the diagram below as a guide when things get abit complicated.

We will now attempt the follow slashes with the bokken we have here ^^! First the vertical slash,now first thing is place your weaker hand in case of me my left on the rear end of the tsuka,with your stronger hand near to the guard,then raise your arms above your head and using your hands as a guide,swing the blade downward and unleash a powerful slash unto the tree over there use your forward hand for more speed as the gravity will force the blade more,while using the left hand as a path for your blade incase you want to angle the slash!

paying attention closely while looking at my bokken i then create a picture while listening to the instruction. i then grab the bokken with my right hand by the guard. i then follow by firmly placing my left hand on the end of the tsuka. afterwards i then raise the bokken over my head with my left hand furthest from me while still holding the bokken. using most of the force from my right hand to thrust the sword downward i also use the left hand as a guide for my blade properly directing it as i swing downward and diagonal repeated times.

How was that?

Exceptional,but well done none the less just remember for power use your leading hand,as a force of momentum to properly execute the slash,now onto the Diagonal,with the same concept as the previous slash but now it travels on a slant.It can come from left to right and right to left downward and upward.The standard way is from above the head,while a under diagonal slash comes from below(if you don't understand I can demonstrate) now try it out !

i then start of by standing with the sword in my hands, my right by the guard and the left close to the end of the handle. i then turn the blade slightly to the right by moving the hand closes to the end of the handle to the left. i then use the hand closest to the guard to thrust the blade downward while still following the direction of my left hand causing the blade to be swung in a downward left motion. i then raise my blade back over my head to start over for the next swing. this time turn my blade slightly to the left by moving the hand closest to the end of the handle to the right. i then use the hand closest to the guard to thrust the blade downward while still following the direction of my left hand causing the blade to be swung in a downward right motion.
