Just watched episode 1 of Sword art online season 2 and wanted to ask a question

When Kirito creates his character for the new Virtual Reality game, what gender does he choose for his character, I was watching the opening and i think i saw a female character that looks like him

I think it is him, he didnt tell Asuna about any of it by looking at episode 1, he could be hiding his identity by being in the other gender

Kirito doesn't create his own character.

In the current-gen that they have the gender choosing is made by the game itself, they do it with the brain-waves that they pick up in order to play it.
Most of the time it reads it as the gender you actually are but Kirito turned into a girl.

So basically because of the brain waves he sends into the Amusphere, GGO thought he was a girl so he gets a girl avatar.
Basically your personality and stuff is also how the character is made.

She wanted to be a buff guy in the game, but that didn't happen.
