«Saya»? The words that came from his mouth were a complete mystery to me. The man looked strong, but there was no way of proving if his words were telling the truth or not... Well, there was one.

"Let's have a duel, I want to test this «Unique Skill» of yours with mine"

"It is an honor to fight with the «Black Swordsman», shall we do it now?"

"Fine with me."

"Wait... Kirito-kun" Asuna interrupted as Gin went through the procedures necessary to request a duel. She placed her right hand over the handle of her trusty rapier « Lambent Light», looking at Gin with a serious expression.

"I'll handle this."

"Are you sure? If he is a «Unique Skill» then your chances of winning are low"

"I'm sure, and the plan is for him to show us his skill, not to defeat me, correct?"

She was right, I had completely forgotten that the point in the duel was to test this man's words. If he was an actual «Unique Skill» user, then his actions with his sword skill will pretty much reveal it. Even I, who had mastered the «One handed», had difficulty fighting Asuna, and was only able to beat her by using «Dual Wielding» in the spot, though thankfully no one noticed the strange move, not until floor 74.

"Is it fine with you, Gin-San?"

"Oh it's fine, it is an equal honor to fight you, Asuna "The Flash", I'm a fan of yours."

"I'm flattered, now let's duel."

Gin simply nodded in agreement as he moved through some screens. Finally the "Duel Challenge" appeared in screen, and Asuna accepted without a second of hesitation. The screen that requested a duel was replaced by a ten second timer.

Asuna took her rapier out with her right hand, holding it in the right side of the body, almost perpendicular. Gin though, who was holding his unsheathed sword with his right hand, did something very unusual. He took his sword out, holding it in his left hand, while keeping his scabbard, which was blindly white with his left. He held the sword perpendicular to the ground, with the blade aiming high in the sky. His left leg was positioned in front of the right, with a distance of approximately shoulder to shoulder.

The instant the word [Duel] flashed, Asuna pushed strongly against the ground, moving at incredible speed towards Gin. When she reached a reasonable distance, she immediately proceeded by activating a twenty-five hit sword combo, known as «Lunar Dance», something I wouldn't be able to react completely against. The events that came right afterwards, that if I wasn't in person to see it, I wouldn't believe it.

Gin, with smooth movement, easily started to dodge each move by changing his center of gravity to a lower position and moving right to left, dancing along the sword skill. The sword skill though, only got faster and faster as the amount of strikes passed, and in around the twenty strike, the sword's speed started to match Gin's speed. By the twenty-one strike, Gin started to use his sword to deflect the hits, but after reaching the twenty-fourth strike, Gin was trapped in a position in which left Asuna and absolute opening. Gin's katana was pushed back far enough to not allow him to recover, and his right foot was elevated from the ground, not allowing him to move to any side in time.

"It's over." Or that is what I thought, when suddenly, in the twenty-fifth strike, he performed something that no one in Aincrad would have done, something that can be called a skill of its own, or in other words, a «Unique Skill». Gin, immediately understanding that he wasn't able to defend with his sword nor dodge the attack with footwork, did not panic at all. With still smooth movement and with a smile on his face, he gracefully defended against Asuna's last strike with his scabbard, pushing the rapier away. Gin continued his momentum, using his left foot as a pivot, turning right to left. By continuing his momentum, he performed a front flip, landing on both feet, with the right in front of the left. He quickly used his left foot as a pivot again, activating a sword skill that I couldn't identify, the light blue glow though, flowed from both the sword and the white scabbard. He immediately released the attack toward Asuna, who still remained stunned in the cool-down from «Lunar Dance», could do nothing more than close her eyes.

"STOP!" I instinctively screamed, though I was unable to do anything to stop the duel. Gin though, did not aimed at Asuna herself. Striking «Lambent Light», the rapier quickly was pushed away from Asuna's hand, which landed five meters away from her right side, sticking to the ground.

"I believe this would end this duel, that was quite the sword skill, Asuna-San."

Amazing, with such reaction speed and natural speed, I wonder why he didn't get the «Dual Wielding». No, that's not it. «Saya», which translates to "Scabbard", is probably given to the person with the highest speed in Aincrad. He most likely is twice, maybe thrice as fast as me, but his strength was probably inversely proportional to his speed. In other words, is not that his reaction speed is faster than mine, but is that he moves at such a fast speed that he is able to see fast moving attacks and objects in his own relative motion. What a monster.

"Incredible showdown Gin-San, it was truly impressive, though if I may ask, why someone as strong as you isn't in the front lines?"

"I used my skills for other reasons, clearing the game wasn't my main objective." He said, as he sheathed his sword back into the white scabbard, holding it in his right hand.

"So what made you chance your mind?"

"Heathcliff's actions, I cannot forgive someone who used so many people to play such an evil scheme. My blood boils just thinking about it."

This man was the same as I. This man, called Gin-San, would have undoubtedly fought with Heathcliff given the chance, regardless of his power and skill. He was someone to trust, someone who also saw the virtual reality as real.

"Welcome to the clearing team, Gin-San, is a pleasure to have someone of your abilities with us."

"If you need more «Unique Skil», I know one other person."

"Who?" I immediately asked. How did Gin knew about another «Unique Skill» user? Was there something hidden behind the sudden emergence of the skills?

"The one who obtained the «Unique Skill» by having the greatest accuracy."

Accuracy? That's going to be interesting - how're you going to play that out? Something to do with Rapiers? o.o

And Saya proved to be interesting. u.u Dual Wield-esc, but for speed type weapons.

Well, you said I was gonna like it.. well, I don't like it U_U

I love it! O_O I'm a tiny bit bothered by the fact that "Saya" appears quite similair to Kirito's skill but still, I enjoyed every bit of the first three chapters, can't wait for the next one ^_^
