A question to SAO fans

I watched SAO,made it to the end of the first part and stopped since so many things annoyed me such as off panel progress,useless female characters who at the start were badass and it always seeming like evrey other episode was filler.

Is SAO 2 any better? Whats its about? And can I watch it without finishing the first one

You can watch it after the 1st part IMO. SAO 2 is way better so far, Kirito has to investigate this new game, Gun Gale Online, where apparently there is a player who killed a few of the top players in the game and mysterious those players also died in real life. So far it's been a 5/5 series for me.

SAO 2 is doing good so far, better than 2nd arc honestly and it's really interesting.
