minato touches kabuto with contact seal->all the edos will be free from kabuto's control(because ET is a summoning tech),and since most of them are kages,or shinobi that held loyalty to their villages,they will help the alliance.
so compare right now,between a free madara(itachi's accomplishements)
and free ET kages and a lot of shinobis(with the alliance) VS madara(only disadvantage).

current edo minato would most likely solo kabuto i think.

yeah kabuto wasent really that strong, and he could have been easily sole'd by itachi, but since he had to keep him alive to stop edo jutsu, it was much harder that way, and minato would have probably failed that, since he isnt skilled in genjutsu

He can't severely wound Kabuto
He can't beat DSM Kabuto

Sasuke would be a great help, but under the same circumstances Itachi was in, Minato would stand no chance.
