Rin Okumura bio in sig (click on the picture)

_________

Rin arrives at the training field and lies down on the grass, putting his sword Kurikara down in the grass beside him.

Cant wait to get started. Rin thought as he picked up Kurikara and stared at it, holding it above his head.

No doubt the figure lying lazily on the long grass was the appointed student, Rin. There was no doubting the black hair and curious, long tail that shook to and fro with the wind. Shoving his hands deep into the folds of his pocket, Adachi approached the figure, looking down upon him over the sword Rin was holding up and seemingly admiring.

"Are you done resting yet?" he questioned, a slightly irritated tone to his voice. "You may have all the time in the world, but I certainly do not." Adachi took a single step back and waited for his student to snap to attention. "Kenjutsu, am I correct? Seeing as to how you've taken a great liking to your sword, do tell me before we begin exactly why what I am about to teach you won't go to waste."

And I'm already seen as lazy. Rin thought.
Haha, sorry bout that. Yeah, I have taken quite a liking to my sword, your right. My old man gave it to me a while back. Rin said as he quickly rose to his feet, suddenly more serious.

Right, so as you said and as I have also said, I like swords, well specifically Kurikara. I want to be able to protect the ones close to me with my powers. I don't know if I'm strong enough yet though to do that though. When I hold Kurikara, I'm reminded of my old man, of my friends, of my brother, of my real father. I feel that if I were to learn how to control the object which brings all these feelings to the surface, I will be able to get stronger. I'll be able to live down the fact that I am my father's son. I know many people have probably said this to you before, but... Rin said as he took Kurikara out.

You must be registered for see images

I WILL become the strongest. Not just for me, but for my friends. For my sensei, for my village, for the sake of everything I hold dear to me, I will not lose. I feel that being able to use Kurikara would be more than just a single step towards my goal. Rin said as he put Kurikara back in its sheath.

...So thats how it is! Rin said as he smiled a big smile.

Pft. Kids these days. Adachi retained his impassive demeanor, staring at his student in a nearly disinterested manner. However, Rin's passionate display for his sword was rather intriguing. A name for his sword...and an origin. It was not one of those cheap, worthless pieces of shit his other students usually brought along with them. Even then...

Adachi fixated Rin with a narrowed gaze, ignoring the stupidly wide grin on the latter's face. "Protect your friends and your village?" he repeated in an incredulous tone. "Don't make me laugh." Reaching towards his side, he gripped the handle of his sword, slowly pulling it out with a single hand. "Whatever. I don't care about your preposterous reasons. Take up your sword. Distance yourself. Note how far we are from each other and then begin to run at me. Once near, hold your weapon with one hand and strike at me." Adachi shifted one leg backwards, his sword held casually by his side so that the tip of the blade brushed against the ground. "Oh, and do explain to me why I asked you to run along with your thoughts on an one-handed slash. Choose your hand carefully."

It sounds like you have some sort of goal yourself. People with a goal can become very fixated on it, and not see anything else. Rin said as he took out Kurikara, walking backwards to the specified area, keeping his eyes locked with yours.

I assume you'll substitute or something if I actually stab you, so... Here I come! Rin said as he started to run at you. Rin was holding Kurikara with his strong hand (his right hand) behind him as he moved his feet faster and faster. Once he got close enough to you he turned his feet in a way like how hockey players turn their skates to stop, except he was sliding now and not at a complete stop. At the same time which he turned his feet and legs, he used the momentum from his previous speed and started to bring his arm and sword forward. He aimed for your left arm, swinging mainly strait, but very slightly curved at an angle so that if you were to strike at me with a counter I could continue with my swing and just curve my swing a little bit more to block. He was aware and cautious of the sword in your hand the whole time.

______________

I believe you wanted me to run at you and use one hand in this technique because its faster from the momentum and the fact that I am using one hand. If I were to use two hands, it would slow the technique down a bit (I believe).

"Goals?" A smirk crossed Adachi's features at his student's response. "What you said was correct, but I seek to aimlessly wander about this pathetic world until my very last breath."

His eyes narrowed at Rin as his student drew near, his weapon behind him with the clear intention of delivering a slash in the form of an arc at Adachi. Waiting until the last moment before contact, Adachi shifted his body weight onto the feet behind him and leaned backwards to bring up his own sword to block Rin's strike right at the edge of the latter's swordpoint, spreading the weight on the blade to prevent it from moving. Adachi then spun towards his right, forcing Rin's blade away as he distanced himself from his student. "You are correct in stating that an one-handed strike would be faster, as there is less power and weight supporting it," he said. "However, while it is definitely more weaker than a two-handed strike, it would also be easier to land. Good job using your dominant hand."

Adachi lowered his blade to the ground, beckoning for Rin to strike at him once more. "Now, use both of your hands to deliver a two-handed slash at me. Explain how it feels different from an one-handed after doing so."

*Rin listens as you tell him to attack you again, this time with both of his hands and in a slash instead of a strike.*

Sounds good, let me just get my sword.
Rin said as he walked over to Kurikara and picked it up. He held the sword with both of his hands, his dominant hand under his weaker hand. He held Kurikara in front of his chest upright, except a little slanted to his right side. He ran in a slight arc to the right, getting closer and closer to you, all the while lowering Kurikara slowly. Once he got a few feet from you, Rin quickly bent his knees and made an upward slashing motion, straitening his legs through the slash so he could make Kurikara slash more of you.

A two handed attack definitely feels different from a one handed attack. I was able to use the momentum from both of my arms in my swing, which made Kurikara faster. I could definitely tell that the attack right there would be a lot more deadly than the one handed attack. Rin said.

OOC: I don't know really how well the last chunk of text from Rin fits in, as you will have reacted to his attack, so he wouldn't just sort of immediately start talking after the slash, but whatever.

Adachi watched with narrowed eyes as his student walked over to his sword, holding it within his grasp once more. Then, without hesitation, he dashed towards his sensei's left, his group upon his sword lowered to his side as if to deliver an upwards slash. As soon as Rin stepped into close range, Adachi moved his left foot behind him and shifted his body weight backwards and then to his right as he momentarily released his dominant hand's grip on his weapon only to grasp it once more in a reverse hold. Once Rin reached the pinnacle of his slash, Adachi thrust his sword towards his left to directly strike the blunt edge of his student's swordpoint, halting its momentum.

He then took a step back, nodding while lowering his blade back to his side. "While the slash is stronger and as you said, includes much more momentum," Adachi responded to his student's words. "You're essentially putting a lot of body weight into the attack. This makes your strike much more predictable and also raises the risk of you losing your balance. A Sharingan user would be able to note your muscle movements and possibly predict your intended attack. Of course, whether you choose to use the one-handed slash or two-handed slash is up to you, but keep note of both pros and the cons of each."

Stabbing his sword into the ground, Adachi formed several handseals as the earth beneath him rumbled to allow a clone that resembled its creator to rise. "Now, I'll begin another part lesson by introducing several concepts known to most sword holders. Firstly, I'd like you tell me three vital points of the human body that when struck, can potentially decapitate the person. Secondly, I'd like you to take up your weapon once more and then begin with a dash to deliver a direct stab to my clone anywhere you wish." Adachi crossed his arms. "After doing so, tell me why you choose to strike the area you did."

Three places which would prevent someone's body from functioning correctly if stabbed/ sliced would be: the shoulders, the brain, and the heart. If someone's shoulders are stabbed or slashed, it could prevent them from fighting well. They might not even be able to form hand seals if the injury is bad enough. If the brain is stabbed, it would be over. The opponent would not be able to function and would die quickly. There is the skull which protects the brain though, which would make it hard to stab. If the heart was stabbed, it wouldn't be able to send blood through the body correctly, or receive blood from the body. The opponent would die soon enough if their heart was stabbed. Rin said to you as you created a clone.

Rin ran at your clone, dashing in a mostly strait direction, with a few zig zags. He then thrusted Kurikara right at the heart of your clone, completely cutting through where the clone's heart would be located (if clones have hearts). The clone "poofed" and Rin stood up strait, lowering the blade of Kurikara to the grass.

Well, I chose to stab your clone's heart because it is a very vital part of ones body, and they cant survive without one. If your heart is stabbed, you almost 100% will die. Rin said as he waved his hand in the air to blow the smoke of the clone out of his face.

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

(Ikari Nomikomu no Jutsu) - Fury Swallow Technique
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 10
Damage points: 25
Description: The user punches the opponent a few times and finishes them with two final slashes with their blade or sword.

These two are the basic of all kenjutsu. I would teach you Cloud Style but I dont have Kumogakure bio or in the village so ask Better for them after this. The gimick I use to this moves is that it can be an unlimited amount of strikes per one usage. You can use this them and do like...15 strikes swiftly in one move which is a personal advantage most dont pick up.

(Ken Rendan no Jutsu) - Sword Barrage Technique

Description: With this technique, the user will make a sequence of slashes with their sword and finishes with a powerful final slash dealing liberal damage to their enemy.

Strong points

1) The user can strike the opponent an unlimited number of times technically
2) Because so many strikes can be made, this technique has extremely lethal power (though to be fair I bet all kenjutsu techniques are fairly lethal, because its fighting with a sword).

Weak points

1) I guess that it's short range? Thats to be expected though. I honestly can't think of any. Could you give me a few examples actually so I can be weary of them?

Combinations-strategies
A combination I just thought of is to create a wall of stone behind the opponent right before you start attacking so that it is harder to escape.

Ways to counter this technique
You did say that this technique could use an infinite number of slashes, so technically if this is used as a first move which as we know must go through, when do I know when I can counter? When the opponent draws their sword? I guess a gust of wind to blow myself into the air to avoid this technique is a good way to counter. Also if there is a jutsu which uses a solid form electricity which still has its properties, that could work as it would shock the opponent. Any lightning jutsu in general would work actually as long as it makes contact with the sword.

You Doing the jutsu.

Saito created a water clone from a small pond near by to use this technique on. Saito lifted his right arm, and grasped the handle of his sword Derflinger which was strapped to his back. He pulled the sword off of it and held it in front of him. He sprinted at his clone with the sword held in only his right hand, but the blade was pointed behind Saito, slightly behind him. When he got close, he brought Derflinger forwards and slashed and stabbed his clone 10 times before preforming a final devastating slash, making it poof.

Strong points

1) This technique deals blunt (for lack of words to describe the damage of a punch) damage and cutting damage

Weak points

1) I can imagine this technique being somewhat slow.

Combinations-strategies

I dont know if this is technically allowed because this technique requires chakra, but focusing raiton into my fists for the punches to deal extra damage and shocks and maybe even paralyzation would be a nice simple combo (again only if this is legal in the rp as this technique technically uses chakra on the base).

Ways to counter this technique

To counter this jutsu, rock armor would work well as the opponent would either have to stop their punches/ slashes or they would hurt themselves. Nagashi also seems like an exceptional counter, but then again, Nagashi basically counters everything close range XD

You Doing the jutsu.

Saito runs up towards one of his water clones and punches it in the gut three times, starting with the left fist, then right, then left. While the left fist was extending towards his clone, Saito reached over his shoulder to grab his sword Derflinger. After his left fist made contact with the clone for the second time, Saito slashed the clone from its head to it's feet, the spun the handle around in his hand, and brought it back up from its feet out its head.

(That would be one bulky freaking clone XD )

Strong points

-This attack allows me to slash the opponent multiple times, so even if there is technically no extra damage compared to other C rank ken techniques, it still will be inflicting more slashes therefor possibly more pain then a regular slash.
-Because I am spinning around while using this, if I move my blade a little higher or lower it can be hard to tell, therefor harder to counter in some ways.
-This can serve as a defensive technique if more than 1 enemy is converging on the user from multiple angles.

Weak points

-The description specifically says tanto, so I'm not sure if I can use this with other swords or not which would be a shame considering that a tonto is considerably shorter than most bladed weapons.
-If used as a defense against multiple foes, the opponents can still do many things to get through or around the defense considering it is a spinning blade and not a shield.

Combinations-strategies

I could use rising rocks to send the opponent towards me, then jump into the air and slash them multiple times while spinning, sending them flying backwards. I could also infuse the blade with wind, lightning, or even fire chakra to deal extra damage, especially considering the opponent in most cases will be hit by the chakra infused blade multiple times.

Ways to counter this technique

Nagashi, but thats not original on any level so I'll give another example. I cant remember the name, but the jutsu which causes water to fall from the sky above the opponent might work. The opponent is spinning so it is harder to tell what is happening around them, as well as the fact that the water is falling from above them which is a blind spot in most cases.

You Doing the jutsu.

Still holding his sword Derflinger from the previous technique, Saito stabbed it into the dirt and created a water clone for him to preform the technique on. Saito wrapped his right hand around the handle oh his sword, and in one swift motion pulled it from the earth while pushing off of the ground to run towards his clone. When Saito reached the edge of short range, he jumped into the air and spun his body to the right, holding his sword outwards. The first swing slashed the clone while Saito was still in air, and the remaining six made contact after he landed.

_____
So yeah does this technique have to be used with a tanto?

( Rakkasui ) - Falling Water
Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: N/A
Damage points: 25
Description: The user will drop down upon the opponent from mid air pointing their sword downwards and drilling it down into the opponent.

Strong points

-The sword being used has the possibility to have a lot of piercing power if maximum acceleration of 9.5 m/s is reached (I think its 9.5 m/s for max acceleration).
-This technique has the possibility to be lethal.

Weak points

-Unless this technique completely stops momentum which I doubt it does, the user must not be moving forwards or backwards or side to side in mid air to properly aim the attack.

Combinations-strategies

I could use the basic d rank wind technique to aim myself, and then use the basic d rank technique to make a pillar under the opponent to bring them closer to me as I fall towards them with my sword.

Ways to counter this technique

Simply by dodging the point where the opponent aimed while in mid air is a way to counter this technique. A better way in my opinion is to set up some sort of spikes or lava or something where the opponent was aiming at you after dodging, because then they need to save themselves.

You Doing the jutsu.

Saito created another clone and gave him some instructions. He sheathed his blade, and the two jumped into the air simultaneously, engaging in cqc. The original Saito landed a swift punch on the clone's face, then grabbed his shirt to pull him back in. Saito pushed off of him with his feet, sending the clone towards the ground, while Saito was lifted a little bit higher. He reached for the blade of his sword and pulled it off of his back. As he started to fall he switched his sword into a reverse grip and held the handle with both hands. The sword slammed into the ground through the clone, making him "poof".

Strong points

- It's a technique that is one big combination, so in terms of damage that's gonna hurt.

Weak points

- You are forced to move to finish the combination, so sometimes one might not want to use this if they are in a position where they feel in more control/ more comfortable (maybe they set up traps or a defense in the area which they would be forced to leave).
- The combo is all taijutsu, so this isn't something you can use in combination with a damage increasing sword technique (a wind enhanced blade or lightning enhanced blade).

Combinations-strategies
- You can set up spikes or swamp of the underworld to be where the opponent lands after you punch them towards an "obstacle".

Ways to counter this technique
- You can counter this technique with rock armor, a wall/ shield, Nagashi, a wind technique to dodge/ keep the opponent away, etc.

You Doing the jutsu.

Saito focused suiton chakra into a puddle next to him in order to create another two clones to preform the two next techniques on. After distancing himself from his clones, Saito grasped his sword and sprinted towards one of them. Once he was close enough, Saito turned his wrist and faced the handle of the sword towards the clone. Saito hit the clone with the handle, then followed that up with a punch to the face as well as a kick to the gut. Saito then got low and kicked his clone high into the air. Saito ran after the clone on the ground, and waited where he believed he would land by looking at the trajectory of his arc. Saito waited for the clone to land and when he did, he delivered a swift and hard punch to him, sending him towards the ground.

(Rensei Shinkuken) – Drilling Crimson Blade
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user takes out their blade and channels chakra into it. They then run towards the opponent, slashing them upwards into the air and then appear above him/her, and deliver a sharp, drilling slash down upon them, impelling them into the ground.
Strong points

-The part where the user appears behind the opponent can be unpredictable and might catch the opponent off guard.
-This technique seems very fast, so that's another thing which can catch the opponent off guard

Weak points

-As always, Nagashi can ruin a swordsman's day
-The opponent might be able to counter with dancing shadow leaf, then put the user of the kenjutsu technique in a bad position, then again the opponent would have been stabbed by then
-If the opponent has a Byakugan and is using it, they can see the user get behind them which can give them a chance to counter.

Combinations-strategies
The user could set up spikes or something for the opponent to land on, or create clones to attack the opponent when they get slashed towards the ground. Increasing the lethality of the sword using fuuton or raiton chakra could also help do more damage.

Ways to counter this technique
A simple genjutsu casted upon the opponent whilst they are running towards you is a simple way, a wall, a taijutsu technique targeted towards the opponent's arms, Nagashi, or your own kenjutsu technique are just a few of the ways to counter this.

You Doing the jutsu.
Saito ran towards the second clone which he had created earlier, holding his sword in his right hand as he approached. He slashed his clone into the air, then appeared behind him. Saito slashed his opponent's back, rocketing him back towards the surface of the planet. The clone made impact with the ground and poofed upon impact.

Rank: B
Type: Offensive

Description: The user does a simple cresent-shaped slash at the opponent, expelling a red chakra wave.

Strong points

- This technique can help samurai/ people who use swords mainly to be able to apply some pressure when they can't get to short range.
- Can damage opponents in the air which is good because it is usually harder to fight with a sword in mid air
- This can be faster than switching to a ninjutsu technique if you already have your sword out as this just requires slashes of the blade compared to possible hand seals and maybe even having to drop the sword.

Weak points

- It cannot reach opponents in far range
- Though I am not 100% sure, is this weak to elemental ninjutsu just like basic ninjutsu is?

Combinations-strategies
This could be preformed at the same time as "Circular Wild Dance" because only "Slicing Crimson Wave" requires chakra. The user could be spinning around with their blade, and then decide that they wanted to use "Slicing Crimson Wave" as well which could catch the opponent off guard.

Ways to counter this technique
A simple ninjutsu could neutralize this like a wave, a fireball, a boulder, a gust of wind, lightning, etc. Techniques which help dodge could also counter this, like a pillar or a gust of wind.

You Doing the jutsu.
(Kitito got approved and Saito was dropped so now Kirito is the one I will rp as)
Kirito reached behind his back for the hilt of his jet black sword Elucidator. Pulling it from the sheath in one swift motion, focusing chakra into it at the same time. Kirito held Elucidator behind his back, the blade pointed outwards away from his right side.
You must be registered for see images
He brought Elucidator around the front of his body, releasing chakra as he did so to create a red crescent of chakra which quickly advanced towards a clone, hitting him and making him poof.

(as we discussed I will skip the second technique until I have the necessary raiton training for it.)

Description: The user by use of a sword can use it as a rod to attract lightning currents that are channeled into the user from opponents attacks and by pointing the tip of the blade into the ground the user is then able to dispel the lightning charge nullifing the effects of paralysis. However this only works on free flowing lightning based techniques such as the Chidori current and not on focused lightning based techniques
