While I reread naruto I found out that when Madara revived himself he was able to use susanoo without his eyes..literally having empty eye sockets. I thought having eyes is the basic requirement to activate to use susanoo? Plothole or not?
You only need the mangekyo to awaken Susanno, the eyes don't need to be active in order to use it. It's a manifestation of Chakra.
It was stated that you need the mangekyo to awaken the Susanoo, but nothing more after that. It wasn't directly stated that you need the eyes to be active, to use it. Susanoo is an ability granted to those who awaken the powers of both their Mangekyō Sharingan.
In chapter 560, Madara used the Susanoo, while having the Rinnegan activated, and not his mangekyo.

And Itachi the first person to use Susanoo in the manga, didn't have his mangekyo active at the time.

In case you are wondering why Sasuke keeps having them active, it's because Sasuke use Ametrasu a lot, he later even implement it in his Susanoo attacks. And MS generally enhance the generic abilities of a sharingan.
Susanoo is like the chakra manifestation of the users spirit. That's why itachi could also use his at his dying moments when he was blind and out of chakra.
What I meant is having the eye ball intact regardless blind or not. Thanks for clearing up the confusion, but i still think that not having eyeballs with susanoo is kinda....
