I think it's understandable since this dōjutsu don't focus on the eye but more on the body

of a Defensive type of Susano'o but what about Sasuke or Madara ? Would they be able to fight Along side

I agree on the Itachi part, I believe that Itachi's eyes were just fading but either way, Itachi already had Susano'o activated before with his MS. It was only after he already pulled out Susano'o that his eyes became that way. And the Gokage summit Sasuke does complain about his body in pain. But then we see against Kakashi, Sasuke Susano'o goes away as he comments about his vision and we see a blurred image of Kakashi, a direct correlation between Sasuke's eyes and his Susano'o.

Susano'o seems to be inconsistent in this nature. We see it being dependent on the eyes with Sasuke, the reason why he had to change eyes and then functioning without the eyes in use with Madara? But if it's a body technique, why do we always see Susano'o first being activated with MS, Susano'o was always used in conjunction with the MS so it's pretty strange to see someone do it without eyes at all.

asspull is asspull no matter how you twist it. as kami pointed out itachi susanoo was already activate through ms and was just fading not fully blind.

It's logical to say that susano'o originally starts as an eye dojutsu as everybody who has been known to use it, how madara is able to do it witout eyes is left for kishi to explain not us to crack our brains over, i the mean time I'm going back to sleep
