Cuz the kunai itself is useless. All what is important is the marking which stays on the kunai. It's thanks to these markings that he teleport objects, not the kunai itself. Without the markings, the kunai will only be ordinary kunai who could do nothing. And these markings he is the one creating them, and he can create in an instant like we've see when he touched Bee for example

Minato probably has multiple seals with his gear from various weapons to just plain old packets, he might even have many : So he can literally lay them around the Battlefield hes on. FTG is a very good match-up for Susanoo, because it helps the user get to the Susanoo's User faster. " Im not saying this is the best technique, just would be very useful."

It's obvious that Minato can teleport anywhere near his FTG kunai/seals, he would just throw a kunai near Susanoo and teleport inside it, especially since the user is slow inside Susanoo (except Madara's Susanoo, which has legs), if he teleports inside Susanoo then a FTG seal on the Susanoo user would follow, and I won't say what would happen next.
