Just a random thought that popped into my head
What if when you unlocked Susano'o you first had to battle it to obtain its power. Kind of like how Naruto defeated Kurama. Then once you showed it that you were worthy it would become your guardian deity.
That also brings me to discuss a world of where potential Susano'o guardians dwell. Once you were able to get to that realm with your Mangekyo Sharingan. You would see multiple Susano'os that you could study and potentially team up with. Similar to those bird things in the Avatar movie.
In the realm of Susano'o there would be some that are more powerful than others. You would have to decide if you were strong enough to face the one you have picked.
I don't know it just sounded like a cool idea. It could have added more depth to the Mangekyo Sharingan. It would have most likely shown how Itachi, Sasuke, and Madara fought the spirits to win their allegiance. It also could have shown us more information on how Itachi got a hold of the sword of Totsuka and the Yata Mirror.
So don't hate I know it's similar to other pre-existing ideas but, I thought it'd be interesting to share.
