"Misty Kingma here in downtown Langsley, the city is in a state of chaos, we have looters on the prowl, robbing every possible store you can imagine, then we have protesters in the streets. It's hard to hear over the roaring flames in the back, but if you listen closely, you can hear their slogan of protest"

"We want answers!"

Before she could open her mouth to speak, the cameraman quickly panned to the side only to catch a quick glimpse of a woman being ferociously assaulted by one of those things. Misty raced to try and help, but in the end she was caught too, it grabbed her upper thigh and dragged her across, ripping through her shirt and clawing at her neck relentlessly. The cameraman dropped the camera, it landed to it's side, so everything was a bit hard to make out, but he jumped in and punched whoever that person was in the face. As expected, he didn't last long either, it gripped his forearm and bit right through a couple tendons. His screams, the mauling, the wild outrage, all caught on tape. No one in the classroom uttered a word, it was as if everyone was in an eternal state of shock. I tried to say something, but my throat was overwhelmed by mixed emotions, it suddenly became dry and unusable. Samantha, a slender girl in the back left of the room, started balling. I mean full on tears, no holding back. Nathan stepped in, he grabbed her by the shoulders and embraced her elegantly, yet a bet aggressively. Ms. Henrik turned off the TV and ran her prudish fingers through her shoulder-length hair, her eyes were full of tears, mine were too.

The banging on the door commenced, but it kept getting more serious. There was a time where it sounded like there was more than one out there, but eventually they faded away, probably got too anxious and decided to find an open room. Fifty minutes went by and it stopped, an eerie silence fell like block over the classroom, no more banging, no knocking, or anything. Samantha slowly looked up from her freshly wet desk, her bright pink lips quivered as she tried to speak.

"Is....is it over?"

"I don't know, i'll check", Noah says cautiously, he had bright orange hair but not alot of freckles, you would think he'd be covered in them but he wasn't. He slowly got up from the corner and walked to the door, his fingers wrapped around the knob and he flicked his wrist and turned. Noah pokes his head outside, then looks both ways, "Nada", he turns back to the class, but two hands grab his left shoulder and pull him outside. Everyone in the room goes crazy, I dart outside as he begins to howl and thrash. The things that were over him were our gym teachers, Joyner, and Collin. Collin was a little on the bigger side, and when I mean a little, I mean alot. How can a person that does physical education, be so overweight? Disregarding everything, I jump on his back and wrap my arms around what I think is his neck, my legs stomp on the floor so it looks like we're doing a semi-crab walk, it was one of those wrestling moves I saw while I was at Finn's house this summer. With one of them distracted. Noah manages to throw Joyner off of him, I let go and we both race back into the room and slam the door shut. I grab the nearest desk slide it underneath the nob, Noah does the same.

Ms. Henrik jumps from her seat and grabs Noah by the arm and examines every nook and cranny of his body, I guess her instinctive mothering skills kicked in, a little late if you ask me. Once she was satisfied with his condition, she turns to the class.

"I know you're all confused, scared, angry, and depressed, but we have to stick through it until help arrives. From my understanding someone can be here any minute."

"So, what do we do until then?", I asked, it was a pretty simple question too.

"We wait it out"
