Supporting evidence that So6P was a Hyuuga

The Byakugan, despite it's name is not actually white. In the anime (as I was just watching), it's actually kind of purple. You know what other doujutsu is purple? ... Rinnegan. Perhaps Juubi eye+Byakugan == rinnegan. It would make sense if a mutated byakugan plus the juubi's yin later developed into the sharingan. Just some thoughts. I hope Kishi will explain the history of the So6P in full at some point...

well the anime does color the manga pretty well... I mean how precisely can you be when comparing two things to each other if the image is in black and white? Canon anime can be used as a source of proof, even if it's just visual proof.

then why is it PURPLE? Kishi could have easily had it colored white... also I'm pretty sure in the manga there must a color image of the Byakugan, and I bet it will be purple, not white.

who say's they're mutually exclusive? if the byakugan is related to the sharingan, then hyuuga is related to uchiha. uchiha and senju were related no doubt, and senju probably related to uzumaki. hyuuga -> uchiha -> senju -> uzumaki. From this the uzumaki could be related to hyuuga. maybe the So6P was the product of hyuuga and uzumaki parents, who had children who started the uchiha and senju. It's possible.
