I read on the wiki(I know this isn't official) that The Darkness is amortal. It can't be killed because it doesn't have life to begin with. It's primordial. So, I don't think it's exactly more powerful than the archangels, God, and Death, they just can't kill it because it doesn't have life.

its been said that death is the strongest. death comes for everyone eventually including god. his only weakness is that spell you can use to bind him.

so the power scale goes
1.death
2.god
3.leviathins
4. castiel with purgatory inside him
5.michael/lucifer
6.arcangels

Death said even he can't stop the Darkness.

The Darkness clearly.

It took God and the Archangels to seal it.

And yet Dean killed him. While I don't think he is dead, that's what we are lead to believe. Regardless, Death is still inferior to the Darkness.

That's why I think he didn't die and will eventually show up to help battle the Darkness. But if he did indeed die, well... that was pretty anticlimatic. I mean he is old or even older than God yet he couldn't dodge a strike from a mere human?

To die in the Supernatural world simply means to have whatever constitutes you moved to Purgatory, Hell, Heaven, or the Empty, or have it wander around the Universe as a soul/ghost/demon/whatever. When Dean "killed" Death, he simply caused that incarnation of Death to be moved to one of those realms. Death then reformed because he has the greatest ability to transverse those realms freely, returning in another form.

The Reaper said that the "old Death" thought that the constant resurrection of Sam and Dean was funny, but the "new Death" is pissed off, indication he was simply returned in a new form.

How in the world do you think it's Michael and Lucifer?

The Darkness, God, and Death are the undisputable 3 most powerful characters of the show, or at the very
least, the 3 most powerful characters mentioned / shown thus far.

The Darkness hypes itself up to be mightier than God, but then again, even if God can't directly defeat the Darkness,
there appeared to be no upper limit towards God's creation abilities, so it's plausible that God could've created even
more archangels to aid him. Death can even kill God though, but God can bind Death and Death can't stop the Darkness.

Thus, it's unclear which of the 3 is the strongest for certain.

Then after them comes the Soul-Empowered Castiel, the Archangels, Metatron with the Angel Tablet (etc.).

Although, it's unclear how strong Lucifer was in his prime, when he had the Angel Tablet and the Mark of Cain.
Even if he did not reach God level, he would have at least far surpassed Michael and Soul-Empowered Castiel.

Godtiel isn't that strong. Death called him nothing more than a mutated angel and made it clear he wasn't on the actual God's level.

Are you implying he's returned as that reaper that was talking to Sam?

I liked to think that death didn't die that easy.

On another note
Last weeks episode was like filler, and this weeks will be to.

The episode is considered a special kind of ep, called bottle-necking. It's not filler, it's meant to take a new directing style based on focus from the Impala. There's actually a lot of plot points and development in this ep, such as Sam and Dean bonding again after the rift of Season 10, Sam's visions continuing, and the reveal that Supernatural creatures are aware of the Darkness and at least one species is forming an army to get ready, making it likely others are doing the same.
