Dropped Supernatural at season 6
First 5 were very good. Had a sense of underlying connectivity. Since 6 it was like writers making crap as they go along
Never watched Buffy
True Blood is good for some partial nudity though

If you like spike there is a character in charmed who's basically spike but better and less of a sissy at times ^^

Yeah you should try supernatural if your into the more horror based aspects there aren't many developing characters ( Although there are more then you would think) However due to the nature of the show there doesn't call for one,

Spike was funny- the way his plans were half cooked most of the times and you know what, he showed more determination that that emo pedophile Angel who was wallowing in self pity half the time and stalking a minor teen despite having a soul. He got his soul back on his own- something Angel would have never done. Spike was almost in the same boat when it came to Buffy but at least had an excuse of being a soulless evil vampire.

U_U lol

And nah I am not fond of horror genre in particular. I even skipped Buffy initially. I just got up caught between Spike and Buffy's interaction. It had it's ups and downs. Some episodes were just meh ( Dawn got real annoying and didn't really like her even after she tried to redeem herself) but Spike got unusual character development from a minor character he was introduced.

If supernatural is just horror then I am not going to watch only for that kind of action. I tried to get in to Xfiles many times but at the most I just randomly watched the show though my sis was hooked to that to.

I need to go back and re-watch Buffy at some point, so I can't judge. As much as I like Supernatural but they just got renewed for season 11, ugh.

Supernatural of course, Buffy doesn't come close to the swag of the Winchester brothers!

There isn't many romantic relationships in supernatrual ( They tried and failed to have a few) But theres a more family interaction and relationship along with minor characters getting decent development ^^ (Ghost hunters anyone) There hardly is action tbh not like buffy martial arts stlye stuff, The demon powers can get a little old but fightings decent it sticks more to the traditional lore and folktales to get ideas for their villians which I truly love <3

Yeah X Files is awesome I binge watched straight 6 seasons so im on a little rest right now XD

Supernatural by far, Buffy the vampire was a terrible show. Just awful, the only reason it was popular was because it had a tie in with another show, which was mind blowing to everyone.

But it was bad, I don't know about the original one that came out in like the what 80's? But the 90's-00's series was terrible.

I grew up with Buffy, but I never actually followed it. I have seen all episodes of Supernatural and I have to say, it's been drawn out for far too long...

That's such a terribly ignorant comment! :p

[to Angel] "What was the highlight of our relationship -- when you broke up with me, or when I killed you?"

-Buffy.

The other show you are talking about was a spin off show. It was popularity of 'Buffy the vampire slayer' which made 'Angel' popular. BtVS was finally ended when the lead actress refuse to work in the next season after a seven year run. The other show Angel was ended by the Channel in it's fifth because Buffy had ended. :p

Buffy the vampire slayer- the movie in 80s was terrible. But the TV show was well made. And it was lead by a heroine. So maybe that part didn't interest many. Or maybe they watched a few episodes and then didn't follow it for long enough to see how it develops. The first season is relatively a shallow one. But there is a tremendous character development as the time passes by and the verse and story develops. Especially after Angel leaves town and get's his own spin off series.. Anyone who watched a few episodes from season 3 and would get my drift.

The show itself was very intense, and complicated and gets very dark between season 3 to 7. Joss Whedon's writing was excellent. The episodes written by him were especially good. The action, comedy, the dialogues, innovative writing, the acting ever part is done well. The verse is done nicely too.Character growth is believable and multidimensional. Buffy is by no means your cliche blonde in need of saving nor she is the regular all action heroin. A surprising element to Buffy is that the monsters and demons are a relatively small part of what the show actually stands for. It's story of growth of a young teen and her stepping out in adult world.

On the other hand the spin off show Angel- banked on repute made in the Buffy show. It's last couple of episodes were really good and I loved the last episode of the who show. But the fourth season sucked so much that I had dropped it completely and only watched fifth when I heard Spike from BtVS had joined the cast. The story too was better in this season but I guess the rating went down after BtVS ended. For producers were told to wrap it up and Whedon ended it without showing the final battle.

I prefer Buffy, but both shows are great and among my favorites. Can't really judge either as better.
