This E3 week the world has witnessed the very first footage of Super Smash Bros Wii U/3DS. I would like to take a moment to make some speculations and share my personal impressions with you.
I was pretty anxious for the next installment of Super Smash Bros and the E3/Nintendo Direct trailer did not disappoint me. I have to admit the inclusion of Mega Man gave me goosebumps. It has to be one of the characters that was high on everybody’s list and he does seem to fit well into the franchise. After all it is a character that has a history with Nintendo.
As a Smash fan of the first hour I am curious about your impressions of the trailer. I would also like to know wich new characters you believe should be included in this game. As for more guest apearences, I would like to see Simon Belmont from Castlevania to make it’s debut. Since Namco is involved in the project Pac-Man would be a no-brainer. As another Namco addition, Goku from Dragon Ball (Z/GT) is mentioned a lot on different forums as well. As are Tekken characters. Somehow I’m not very fond of the Idea of letting the Tekken and Smash worlds collide. To conclude my guest character speculation, I believe Sonic is likely to make his return too.
Some changes in the old roster are pretty obvious as well.Trading Olimar for a character of Pikmin 3. And we’ll probably see some characters from Fire Emblem:Awakening to take the place of the previous Fire Emblem characters. I have a hunch Lucina will definitely be the first pick. And I’m sure you’d agree some Pokémon will be traded in for some next generation Pokémon. Hinting at a new first party character, have you noticed the boxing ring level in the trailer? I won’t mention any names, but that would be a real “knock” out…..

A boxing ring, boxing gloves. Does it ring a bell?
And what is your opinion on the new Animal Crossing Villager character and the pretty weird addition of the Wii Fit Trainer. Regarding the later, I couldn’t believe it when I heard about it. After letting it sink I think she is a worthy succesor to the quirkiness of Mr. Game & Watch and R.O.B. the robot. From what I noticed on the official Smash Bros site, I found out that the Wii Fit Trainer and the Villager are the only characters that have no 3DS screen shots. Could this mean both versions of the game have a slightly different roster? The Wii Fit Trainer seems more fitting (no pun intended) for the Wii U version as there is no Wii Fit on the 3DS, but the latest installment of Animal Crossing was on the 3DS. So it makes no sense to make the Villager a Wii U exlusive character. Maybe it’s just plain coincidence, but let’s pretend otherwise. What 3DS exclusive character could you think of that could be added to the 3DS roster. Dr. Kawashima from Brain Training, anyone?

i hope they have marth. Knuckles would be a good addition, and im sure there could be plenty of others. I would like a bigger roster, not neccesarily a changed one.
