They had so many other Square characters to choose from. Its weird they chose the guy who didn't even have his game on a Nintendo console. They could have used the Bravely Default cast, the first 6 Final Fantasy games, Crono from Chrono Trigger, Sora from Kingdom Hearts. I'm sure theres characters I'm missing, but any of those would have been vastly better .Guess its free advertising for the FF7 remake.

I'm thinking Nintendo added Cloud only because he's popular. To make matters worse, half the people who are off him, haven't even played FF7. They also don't know Advent Children ruined his character with the emo shit.
