I was doing some research on meditation and chakra and found this curious image that might explain the sun (or full moon) relation to Indra and the half moon with Ashura.

This would mean and it kind of makes sense in my opinion that the emotion is connected to the Uchiha faction (Full of love..) and the action is connected to Senju faction.

Just felt like sharing this.
Please, be gentle! =D

Yeah you're right. Uchiha are controlled by their feelings, while Senju don't care if they are hurt, they don't give up no matter what!

I do not believe Action and Emotion are common ways of dividing the dichotomy of Sun and Moon from what I understand, however, it follows strong suit to Yin and Yang concepts.

External action would be Yang and follow suit with the Senju's outward expression to take a stand for things, while internal harboring of emotions would be Yin and would express how important this internal balance of emotion is to an Uchihas mind.

I think on that basis alone you could make a case for what you are saying, but nonetheless I like the illustration =D

Like the buddha said "Do not dwell on the past, do not dream of the future. Focus the mind on the present moment."
Exactly. Like Marcus Aurelius also said: our past is already gone, it's only our memories. And the future is not determined, anything can happen, so it doesn't exist as well. Only the moment we're currently in really exists, just this one second is the only thing matters.
Actually when I read this, it had shifted my paradigm alot :)

It's kind of a paradox isn't it?

Tobirama stated the Uchiha are ruled by their emotions over their strength and care more than any other clan, yet they believe power achieves peace.

With the Senju however, they are ruled by strength over their emotions, but believe love achieves peace.

It reminds me of the jedi and sith from star wars.

Lol Alpha/Omega concepts are so deep.

Most emotive persons will react to adversity in a violent way, being "power" the easy resource, while the rational ones will try to be more diplomatic. It is a reflex of the human condition imo.
