Here's a short, unlikely hypothesis.

Do you think those hair braids hagoromo and hamura have indicated which hand had the sealing marks was on?

Like hagoromo could had the yin mark on his left hand while hamura had the sun mark on his right hand (just look at their braids).

This scan implies that hagoromo had sealed the juubi within him already and has the sun mark, now don't think that I solo'd myself with this scan since what I'm gonna say next is hamura possibly died in the fight with the juubi therefore he passed his sun mark to hagoromo.

Well, that's it. Criticism is welcomed.

random question: howcome madara and obito didnt have them?

i dont get that flashback kaguya had bc hago was already the juubi jin.

why would hago be yin only at first and represent naruto? also he had full staff during fight.

I don't really understand what you mean

If Naruto and sasuke have 1 mark a piece and everyone think they can seal Kaguya with it I assume Hamura didn't have any yin yang marks as when he was alive hagoromo staff was still the same yin yang

Naruto just reminds kaguya of hagoromo.

"kaguya was sealed by her own sons"

It could be many things

Hamura helping hagoromo seal her

Its like if my friend shoots someone and I was there and popo caught both of use we both going down for have a gun even tho I didn't have one

:|... You did a bad example, They BOTH sealed her not that hagoromo sealed her with the help of hamura.

Short answer

I think Hagoromo represents Life which is composed of both light and dark, Sun and Moon.

Kaguya represents Compassion and Healing.

Hamura represents Power and Knowledge.

There is heaps of symbolism that ties into Hinduism and Buddhism… be it in the techniques characters use, clan names and emblems, story lines and the imagery in statues.

I don't think Hamura will have the moon symbol. I think he'll have a triangle, ride the White Snake Sage and carry a trident.

Long answer:
