Its up there, haven't had such a good time with a stand alone anime movie since Akira, 9.5/10 in my books.

Oh, and I saw an anime review about this film and I personally found it funny as hell. XD

Meh, it was good, but I wasn't entirely impressed with it. Maybe a 7/10.

It was a 7/10 for me. Entertaining and whatnot but I don't see the hype around it. Maybe if it was a series and had spread its events without having to cram it into a 2-3 hour movie it'd be better.

I loved this movie 8/10 for me. However, if you want to see Mamoru Hosoda's best, then I would suggest Wolf Children.
