[Method]

As much as I would like to continue your training in the same manner Lili had, I have yet to completely learn/understand this method. That being said we will have to start from D Ranks & I will need to ask you a couple of questions before hand. I have read through your training with Lili & have an understanding of what you.... understand . IF you fine with this then we can continue o.o.

You have explained & been told about chakra. I would like you to now explain (in your own words) what Ninjutsu is?

Ninjutsu , is almost any technique which allows the user to do something that they otherwise would be incapable of doing, including the usage of weapons. Unlike Genjutsu, which makes the opponent see illusions, the effects of Ninjutsu are real. They vary greatly in purpose, with the simpler Ninjutsu serving such tasks as transforming the user or allowing them to evade attacks. Stronger Ninjutsu are given the name of Kinjutsu. As they are too dangerous and strong and thus have been banished by the Kage of the certain village

Most techniques such as Susanoo, Shinra Tensei, Shadow Imitation Technique are Ninja Techniques. Every single elemental technique is also known as Ninjutsu. The different between Ninjutsu and Senjutsu is that unlike Ninjutsu, Senjutsu uses Natural Energy instead of chakra. Another different is that that Senjutsu techniques have the prefix Senpo [Sage Art] whilst some Ninjutsu techniques have the prefix Ninpo [Ninja Art] in them

Additionally, there is the kind of technique that can be classified as a basic or advanced elemental technique, the basic type are techniques with specific elements (wind, water, fire, earth, or lightning), the advanced type combine two or three of the basics elements and creates a new one. By combining two elements, you get a Kekkei Genkai. By combining three elements, you get a Kekkei Touta. The combination of 4 or 5 elements can only be done by one who has the Juubi sealed inside of him/her. Shinobi can perform techniques from each of the 5 Basic elements however they have an affinity towards one or two elements and thus perform them at a faster rate. If a shinobi does not have an affinity towards a certain element, it is near impossible for him/her to use powerful techniques of that element. This however is not the case in our NarutoBase RP.

(Kirigakure No Jutsu) - Hidding in Mist Jutsu

Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

You begin releasing your water chakra over a large source of water, the chakra combines with the water & has water molecules rise from the source creating a thin mist. You continue passing your chakra creating a thicker mist to obscure your opponent's vision.

You first take in a deep breath, building your water chakra within your lungs. You then exhale releasing a stream of mist that slowly begins spreading over the field concealing anything within.

A very popular jutsu, commonly used against Sharingan users. It comes with its drawbacks as unless you have a byakugan, there is no way for either side to see each other through the mist. It can be used to create tactical situations to your advantage. Remember to use all other senses while in this mist, being as descriptive as possible allows you to gain an advantage over your opponent. Noises are the biggest give away while in this jutsu, try & be creative when attacking in the mist. Maybe use an earth jutsu that covers a large surrounding scale.

(Suiton: Mizu Kuri No Yaiba) - Water Style: Sword of Draining

Description: A technique that utilizes water to create a sword. The sword can be wielded in the normal fashion, allowing the ninja to cut and stab like with a normal blade.
Note: Doesn't require a water source.

You begin gathering water chakra around a desired hand. a "blob" of water begins forming & as it does you then focus on shaping the blob into a sword. on completion your grip the hilt of the water blade, treating it as it a normal weapon.

A basic jutsu allowing you to created a bladed weapon through basically nothing >.>. Best to be used in close combat situations, as your opponent is distracted.

Kirigakure no Jutsu - Hiding In The Mist

Advantages
1. Can be used against a Sharingan or Rinnegan user
2. The mist is created using the users chakra. That means sensors might have difficulty in finding out where the user is
3. Is effective against Nara and Yamanaka clan users

Disadvantages
1. Useless against Hyuuga
2. The Aburame Clan members can use their bugs to feed on the chakra inside the mist
3. Is useless against members of the Inuzuka Clan

Situation
If I am in a fight with a Sharingan user, I would use this technique. I would also use this technique against sensors

Description
I channel my Suiton chakra throughout my body before channeling it into my lungs. I take a deep breath and exhale out a thin stream of mist. I channel my chakra into the mist causing it to slowly thickin

Mizu Kuri no Yaiba - Sword of Draining

Advantages
1. Can be used if a member of your village tries to attack you without warning
2. Can be used very quickly
3. Can be used if the user's weapons have been broken. The user can also channel their Raiton chakra into the weapon

Disadvantages
1. Is obviously weak against weapons created using Doton chakra
2. N/A
3. N/A

Situation
I can use this technique if my opponent attacks me without warning [My opponent is already close range with me]

Description
I channel my Suiton chakra to my right hand. I apply shape transformation to it and release it out of my hand. Slowly water starts forming and quickly takes the shape of a sword which I use to stab Method, steal away his scroll of Suiton techniques and master Suiton​

Description: The user will manipulate their water chakra and releasing it from their arm which is held outwards infront of them and they then create a shield of water that can aide in defence against projectile weapons and close combat techniques.

You first manipulate your chakra throughout your arm. Gather your water chakra to a specific point of your hand & have it expand & spread around the hand, creating a shield that covers a large portion of your chest area.

A condensed form of water that is great in close range(as stated). I would be careful as it leaves you open against lightning chakra. Just as any other jutsu, as long as you continue to pump chakra into it you are unable to perform other elements.

Description: The user will create a water shark to jump into the air and bolt towards the opponent, striking them.
Note: Requires a water source.

Upon creating a water source, or having one close by, the user sends their water chakra traveling into the source of water. The water creates a shark (of normal size) to jump out & strike anything within a short range distance (5 m).

No handseals needed. A good distraction if the water source is located behind the opponent as they focus their attention on you. Also a good distraction.

Junsai no Jutsu - Water Shield Technque

Advantages
1. Since it is able to defend against projectiles, it should easily be able to defend against any person who tries to assassinate me using Silent Homicide Technique [The opponent is using a kunai as his weapon]
2. Should successfully defend against D Rank Kenjutsu attacks
3. Well since it is made up of chakra, the user can use this technique to hide a specific part of their body from the Uchiha

Disadvantages
1. If the opponent uses a Raiton technique, the result would be my arm getting burned and electrocuted
2. The user would have to pump chakra into the shield for as long as they want to keep it active and would be unable to perform any other technique
3. N/A

Situation
1. I would use it if I am close - range with a Samurai [A weak Samurai with D Rank Ken ._.]
2. I would use it in case I am thirsty .-. [My opponent uses Arid Release]

I start by gathering chakra. As I feel that I have gathered enough chakra in my palm, I then convert the chakra, molding and compressing the chakra to Suiton chakra. I then, concentrating on power and control, channel chakra to my right hand while increasing the fluidity of my chakra. Forming a blob of water in my hand, I apply shape transformation to it and have it changed into a square shield of water

Suikōtoppa - Water Shark Breakthrough

Advantages
1. It does not require any hand seals and the user can use it really quickly
2. As the opponent would focus on defending against the shark, I'll be granted enough time to either retreat or advance forward
3. In case the user and opponent are both on a water source and are short - range, this technique would be ideal in making in distracting the opponent

Disadvantages
1. The shark can't attack from below.. it has to jump into the air before it attacks ._.
2. Requires a water source which means it cannot be used in Sunagakure, Iwagakure or Konohagakure. Can be only used at Unraikyo in Kumogakure and in the borderlands of Kirigakure. Nevertheless, we can always create our own water source
3. N/A

Situation
1. Like I said before, I would use it if both me and my opponent were on a water source and we were close range
2. I would almost certainly use it after Water Gushing Imprisonment

I start by gathering chakra. As I feel that I have gathered enough chakra, I then convert the chakra, molding and compressing the chakra to Suiton chakra. I then, concentrating on power and control, channel chakra to my feet hand while increasing the fluidity of my chakra. I apply shape transformation to it and envision a shark. Following this I transfer this chakra to the water source near me out of which a shark suddenly comes out and kills Method for a 2nd time ​

 

[Method]

1. Since it is able to defend against projectiles, it should easily be able to defend against any person who tries to assassinate me using Silent Homicide Technique [The opponent is using a kunai as his weapon]

It is true that only a jutsu can successfully defend/counter against another jutsu(following RP rules) & it also states that the jutsu is for use against projectile/close combat situations. But if your opponent comes within striking range of you, do not just assume a defensive jutsu would always work successfully. Remember that a thrown kunai from, lets say mid range, does not have as much force behind it as an opponent who is only footsteps away from you. Alot more force can be put behind a thrust within striking distance of you. This means that even if you successfully block their strike, if they have put enough force behind it they can still cause you to shuffle or even fall back (especially if you have positioned yourself in the wrong manner).

Description: After the user performs a series of 3 hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox, the user creates a whip of water that can be used to strike the opponent with a lashing action or wrap around the target to bind them. This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.

You start of by performing 3 handseals, then gather your suiton chakra across the palm of the desired hand. An orb forms that quickly extends into a long whip, you hold onto it as if a solid object. You then swing it across, wrapping it around your target.

The jutsu on its own is a good way to constrict your opponent. The best part of the jutsu is being able to combine it with certain lightning jutsu. Not only is the opponent unable to move as much as normal but they would also have to deal with electrical currents racing down the whip. A useful way to use it is to wrap it around your opponent's legs & pull them in, having then knock back to the ground.

Description: The user After performing the required hand seals Ram → Tiger spits out high-viscosity, chakra infused water, aimed at a surface of wide scope. This is a stream of sticky liquid which can be used to form an adhesive trap that can inhibit a person's mobility. One can effectively reduce their enemy's area of activity with this technique, and has the effect of being able to take complete control over the battlefield. The normal scope of this technique is normally just a few metres, but if prepared, it is also possible to make an entire pond of starch syrup. Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

Perform two handseals while gathering your suiton chakra to a single point. You then spit out a large amount of "sticky" water that covers over a wide area.

Not a jutsu I have had much experience with but is a very useful one. A good way to hold your opponent in place, but this does not stop them from using their upper body(Peforming handseals & such). Trapping your opponent opens you to a large number of attacks you could perform, but you should always make sure not to go with the generic " kill strike". Try creating a pit underneath the syrup field, sinking the opponent in, leaving them trapped.
Even though it states it, you cannot simply avoid this technique by channeling chakra to your feet, you must defend/counter it with another jutsu.

Suiben - Water Whip​

ADVANTAGES
1. Can be used against people who specialize in Tai or Ken
2. Can be used in collaboration with Raiton techniques that can temporarily paralyze the opponent
3. Can be wrapped around the opponents neck to choke them

DISADVANTAGES
1. The opponent can use almost any Doton technique since most Doton techniques are used to defend the user
2. The technique requires 3 hand seals which is a lot for a C rank jutsu
3. N/A

SITUATION
1. As I said before, I would usually use it against Ken and Tai users

DESCRIPTION

4. Although i am not sure, I think the user can control the sticky substance as seen in the manga

DISADVANTAGES
1. The sticky substance moves slowly

SITUATION
I would use if my opponent is a Swift User and is moving towards me at high speed

Yyou should be able to but they would have to be within a really close distance of you. If you did want to use it like that then I would advice you to gain a much higher ground & or/ attack from above.

Yes you can but you would have to hold the handseal & focus on the jutsu. This would not allow you to perform anything else in the meantime also leaving you pretty open.

Description: After performing the Tiger hand seal the user creates a clone of themselves made of water. These water clones have 1/10th of the users chakra. These clones are also limited in that they can only travel short range from the user without losing control. When a water clone take enough damage they revert back to normal water.
Note: Can only perform up to C rank Water techniques and requires a water source.

You begin performing a single handseal gathering your chakra. You then have your chakra travel toward a nearby water source & mixing with the water creating a clone of yourself.

The clone is a weakened version of the user. It cannot go further than short range from you and it can only use c rank and below justus. It does have an identical psychical appearance of the user so can be mistaken for the original. Due to the range the clones have to stay it would be a better defensive jutsu than offensive. Make sure to have a nearby water source within short range. Having the clone grab hold of the opponent & then having the original create a raition jutsu would be a suited combo.

Description: A technique that deals physical damage to the enemy with a liquid mass brought forth from underwater. Its power to kill and maim is augmented by adding a spinning motion to the compactly pressured water. During fights on water, taking advantage of its characteristic ability to attack from anywhere in a 360 degrees radius, in conjunction with other techniques for distraction, confusion and so forth, this technique has an extensive array of applications.

You stand upon a water source and have your water chakra travel into it. As you do this a spinning condensed water "prism"(looks similar to earth spikes but on a larger scale & with a much more flexible form) emerges & thrusts toward the opponent.

The prism of water is able to come out of the water anywhere through short range(in water) around a 360 degree radius. Making this spinning mass of water pretty versatile. As noted it is a short range jutsu & in most situations would only be able to be used on a water source. a very good surprise attack & could be used to distract the opponent while you attack from the front (vice versa),

3. Unlike Earth Clones, they do not reform back

I would use it in case my opponent is a Souma no Kou user, has summoned multiple animals or has used a clone technique himself. I won't use it against a Doujutsu user though

Description: Using the hidden mist jutsu the user reflects the natural light an a way that it blinds there opponent temporarily as long as the opponent is in the mist.
Note: Must have already used hidden mist jutsu

After performing the "hidden mist" jutsu. You further manipulate your chakra within the mist, maneuvering certain parts of the mist to allow a light to project, blinding the opponent.

The jutsu is mainly an extension of the original. The mist does block the both parties vision. but close range your opponent is able to be seen, even if barely. This jutsu allows for a 100% blocked vision.

Descripton: This technique allows the user after claping their hands together to make a spiralling vortex of water to form around them out of nowhere in a vortex like manner. The vortex then proceeds to cascade into an wave of water that rampages towards the intended target or all around. The size and power of the technique is dictated by the amount of chakra put into the technique, varying from C-rank to B-Rank.

You begin by clapping your hands together. A spiraling vortex of water appears and travels toward the opponent until finally crashing down onto the opponent as a large wave. The rank of the jutsu is up to you, the cost follows your choice.

A good thing about this jutsu is that it can be used after as a water source. Another good tactic as the wave comes down is creating another jutsu from within the wave to shortly follow after. It covers a wide area but blocks both sides vision of each other.

After using Hiding in the Mist, Kazuya manipulated his chakra to move to certain angles allowing a little bit of light to pass. As this happened, the light was reflected and projected at the opponent, temporarily blinding them due to their cornea unable to stand the light

I apply shape transformation to the chakra and release it from my body causing a vortex of water to be released which turned into a wave of water as it collapsed onto my enemy, Method killing him for the 5th time

A jutsu that could be used for both defensive & offensive usage. If defensive remember the body of the vortex is not very thick so cannot block a lot of opposing attacks. Shooting it forward as a wave however is seen as both a defensive & offensive but could potentially block both your own & your opponent's vision of each other. By noting the rank & chakra you push on the technique, it can be seen as a C or B rank.

(Suiton: Suirou No Jutsu) - Water Style: Water Prison

Description: This technique is used to trap a victim inside a virtually inescapable sphere of water by waving the Snake → Ram → Horse → Hare → Ram → Horse → Hare → Hands spread in front palms out. The only downside to this technique is that the user must keep at least one arm inside the sphere at all times in order for the victim to remain imprisoned. This technique requires a sufficient amount of water, which can be provided by expelling it from one's mouth. Once trapped the target is unable to move while within it due to the heaviness of the water. Because of the density of the water it can be used, to a limited extent, for defensive purposes if performed on oneself. Water clones can be used in preparation for the technique, which block an opponent's attack and trap the attacker in the prison using the clone's own water.

Defensive: You would begin by performing the given set of handseals while gathering your chakra. once done you spew a stream of water beneath you that spreads around in the shape of an orb. Once done you release you chakra & have the water drop to the ground. Offensive: Following the same process you spew water out under your opponents feet ( or even on them, to slightly delay a response from them)having it rise up in the form of an orb around the opponent. After doing so you extend your arm, placing your hand against the orb to maintain it's form & the consistency of chakra being channeled.

A great jutsu especially for those who like close combat. Can be used both offensively & defensively & work great with clones. best used after having disorientated your opponent, this way there is less chance of them countering you at such a close range as they should have enough time to strike as you release the water(as long as timeframe is being followed accordingly. As noted the opponent would be unable to move around while in the water. I would like you to write down a way you would release yourself if caught in this jutsu.

Certainly! So before we begin I'd like to just discuss how we're going to do this training. I don't do templates or anything similar to that. I like to promote discussion and actually touch base on many things. I feel templates really don't accomplish much other than make the training even more of a no brainer. So with that being said throughout the training we'll talk about techniques, chakra, the mechanics behind techniques, and what not to gain a full understanding. I don't expect you to know everything (as that would invalidate my purpose xD) and I fully encourage you to ask any questions about any technique or concept you may have no matter how basic it is. Think of it as an investment in a way. The more you understand the better you'll be able to fight and set up combinations and the better customs you'll be able to create. Once we get through the basics we'll get on to the techniques and at two separate points during the training we'll have a mock fight in a way to give you a chance to practice with the techniques and a chance to better yourself in a fight.

Okay so since you haven't had any training in water in over a year I want to take a little time to go back to the basics before we dive back into the techniques. A good refresher is probably needed and regardless it never hurts to brush up on your knowledge of the basics anyway. So remember we are going to discuss as much as we can and really pick at mechanics so don't be afraid to ask questions and don't be afraid to miss anything. As I said my purpose is invalidated if you know everything. Although, if you do have your basics pretty much covered perfectly then all the better to you.

So lets begin with talking about chakra. So tell me what do you know of chakra and chakra in respect to Water Release?

CHAKRA
What is Chakra? Chakra is the essence of life... Chakra could perhaps be related to how Glucagon converts Glycogen stored in the liver, into Glucose; which in turn is utilised as a source of energy. Similarly, the physical energy collected from the cells inside ones body and the spiritual energy; summoned from the mind of user, if molded together would form Chakra.

This Chakra is in turn, circulated throughout the body to the 361 Tenketsu, which are perhaps pressure points within the human body, who after receiving chakra can be used to perform daily functions. With the exception of the 361, Tenketsu; there are also Eight Inner Gates present within the body. These gates maintain a stable flow of chakra throughout the body, perhaps comparable to a rheostat; that is to prevent excess flow of chakra or lack of chakra. These Gates can be opened one by one [By those that have mastered the technique to do so], which in turn allows greater chakra to flow through the body until the 8th Gate, that is the Death Gate at which point the physical energy pulled out of the cells and the spiritual energy summoned from the mind reaches such a high level; that the human body collapses or lets say, the human dies.. Unable to sustain such intense pressure

Chakra is always present within the human body. A body without chakra could perhaps be comparable to flesh without soul. All functions performed by man, are done by using chakra. Verily, using Chakra is not the same as Ninjutsu.

Now that we speak of Ninjutsu, Chakra cannot only be circulated within the Human body; but can also be diffused to the surface of the skin. Perhaps, similar to how a radioactive object gives off radiation.. But chakra is maintained to around the epidermis, forming a some sort of an aura.. Although it can be directed to long distances such as by Sensors

ok enough of this pointless talk. Lets move onto Suiton

SUITON

Suiton perhaps is a result of Nature Transformation. Each shinobi by birth, has a 'chakra nature', that is the Element they'd be most proficient in using. This certainly does not mean that the Shinobi cannot utilise other Chakra natures as well.

The Basic 5 Chakra natures are Water, Fire, Earth, Wind and Lightning. While the majority of shinobi have a single Chakra nature, there are some cases where there are two chakra natures present. Some abnormal people may even be able to mould these two chakra natures together, to create an advanced chakra nature. Whatever the case maybe, no one is deprived of the ability to have there own chakra nature [From the Basic 5], given that the person does try to train and stuff.

Now that we were talking about Suiton, it is one of the Basic 5 Chakra Natures. Most of the time, this chakra nature is seen being used by shinobi from the Hidden Mist perhaps because of some genetic reason. Suiton involves altering the characteristics and properties of chakra, by perhaps applying fluidity upon the Chakra.. By maintaining a certain distance between the chakra molecules, but making sure that attraction remains.. Or perhaps infusing the essence of water.. By mixing water found inside the human body with Chakra... Suiton is created!

Suiton, as obvious as it might seem is stronger to Fire as it can extinguish its flames, and moreover, it results in mist spreading over with deprives Fire of oxygen.
It is weak to Earth because of perhaps, the hard nature of Doton techniques which are easily able to stand Suiton attacks?
