[Suiton] - Perception/Shadou

Genkai smiles as she has just mastered her first water technique. She looks over to Shadou and then walks across the water. She steps on the shore and stares at her senpai.

Senpai, I have a question about the technique we just learned. How much chakra does it take to perform?

As she waits for an answer Genkai begins to walk towards the forest with Shadou. As she approaches the entrance of the forest she uses her hands to swat large bugs flying her way. Genkai hears the growling of her senpai's stomach. Shadou then asks if Genkai has any snacks on her. Genkai has no snacks on her because she ate them all and doesn't know the definition of restraint. Genkai looks around and sees an apple tree near by. She kicks the tree and a few apples land on the ground. She picks up 3 apples.

Here senpai catch. This one is for you Shadou. This will have to suffice for now, but I can cook something for us later after the training. The forest has a strange aura surrounding it. Shadou, we can't let out guard down.

After hearing the young girls question about chakra cost, I notice my mistake and facepalm the shiz out of myself, leaving my own hand print on me.. how could I simply overlook such a thing? Was I on drugs? Maybe that plant I ate earlier... It tasted pretty weird.

"Uhm, Uhm.... Oh yeah, it'll only take a small dose of your chakra reserves, not even denting it with your current chakra levels (chakra cost: 10, my bad I must have c/p wrong)."

As I hear Shadou say he doesn't have any food with him, I think to myself "gosh he's useless..", I needed food or I couldn't continue, who could walk around on a 7/8 full stomach? Certainly not shady, he needed to be 100% full or I'd be pissed. Luckily Genkai spotted an apple tree and had fetched a few apples, just enough for all three of us to get our fair share. She was a nice person obviously, and seemed like the type to take care of her squad; a potential leader. I'd inhale the apple in one bite, leaving nothing at all, yes I'm very greedy. u_u

"ok, now that we're in this forest, we'll need some cover so the beasts can't see us. I've figured out that majority of the beasts are sight dominated creatures, thus solely depending on sight to catch prey. What I want you guys to do is use your chakra to control the moisture in the air and create a mist that will conceal us from everything. Once one of you does that, I want the other to thicken the mist by doing the same thing. This will prevent the animals from seeing us... Once you've done that, I will use a Sensing technique to get us through the forest since your sights will also be obscured... So stay vert close to me please."

Senpai….you shouldn’t eat so fast, you might choke!

Shadou wipes the apple on his shorts then raises it towards his mouth and takes a few bites. Shadou observes the forest once hearing his senpai say that it was populated by beasts. He thought to himself “it would be such a shame if our training was interrupted by the wild”. He takes a final bite from the apple and tosses it to a nearby tree, giving Genkai a big smile as he does so. Genkai was an excellent ninja that cared about her partner and teacher, Shadou liked that quality in her. He turns his attention back to his senpai.

Mist…okay let’s try.

Closing his eyes, Shadou begins to concentrate. He gathered his chakara from within, letting it take in the properties of water, and then used it so that it would become one with the moisture in the air that was caused from the lake nearby. Once he was in control of the moisture, a small cloud of mist suddenly appeared. After a few moments go by, the mist starts to grow, concealing Shadou, Genkai, and their senpai. They were still slightly visible to any outside life until the mist was thickened.

Genkai eats her apple and continues walking with senpai and Shadou. She listens to her senpai instructions and continues to feel a sense of uneasiness about the forest.

Apples are my favorite fruit. I'm glad you guys like them as well. Mushrooms on the other hand are a different story.:devil:

Genkai watches as Shadou produces a mist from the moisture in the air. She is impressed by his technique and takes note of his form. Genkai smiles as she responds to Shadou's question.

I'm ready to go. Don't blink or you might miss it.

Genkai builds up the chakra in her body. She visualizes the behavior of water in her mind and the chakra turns into water chakra. Once the chakra is built up to a peak in her body Genkai releases it through multiple chakra points. The chakra infuses with the air and the mist that Shadou formed. With her chakra in the air Genkai can feel where the water is concentrated in the air. Using her chakra she rings out what little water remains in the air. This causes a mist to form that combines with Shadou's mist. A thick fog has formed and Genkai loses track of senpai and Shadou.

I should have brought some goggles. Senpai, Senpai, are you still in front of us?

Description: This displacement technique creates a thick mist to spring forth by lifting up some water from either a pre-existing source or expelled from their mouth, then goes in and out of sight at will from within the pearly-white realm. The mist's thickness is controlled by the amount of chakra kneaded into it. It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.
Note: Can be created through releasing from mouth or manipulating a nearby water source.

After the two students followed the instructions to a T, I grab some short rope out of my ninja pouch and throws it to where you'd both get hit by it and it would fall directly onto your guys' feet.

"Oi, pick the rope up and tie it to your clothing or something, It's attached to my waist, therefore we'll all be connected and you guys won't get lost. I'd hate to have to search for you runts. ^^ Now to activate some sensing, I can barely see my own hands, you guys did very well indeed."

I'd instantly activate a technique taught to me by one of my former partners from when I was a konoha shinobi.. ahh, team flapjack; brings back so many memories of when I was really really really a Noob leaf.. I'd force my chakra into the air and the lake, giving me the ability to create tiny particles of moisture which create an invisible mist. The mist is molded to spread throughout the entire forest and lake, giving me a heat sensing ability, therefore sensing any and every living animal in the forest. I'd then continue to walk... We'd then travel for several hours, with you guys having no sight of where we are headed because I continually create mist, making the rest of the journey through the forest a huge mystery. Once we get out of the forest, we run into some vines which could only be cut down, though as we exit, I act surprused and throw a kunai at each of you. After you defend from the kunai I begin speaking to you...

Description: This technique depends on manipulating water molecules present in the location (water source/water from previous water jutsus) to spread out in the
atmosphere. By infusing the user's chakra into these molecules, the user can sense the enemy in/on the battlefield by sensing the body
temperature or heat given out by the person. This is exactly like the mist jutsu, but here the molecules doesn't block the vision. The best part about this jutsu is that, the molecules in the air keep building up even if/when it is
blown away by the wind till the
water source/the water from the previous jutsu dries away. This helps in tough situations when due to some reasons, the user can't find the opponent.

In a quick reaction to the kunai thrown at the two, Shadou holds his left arm outward. He channels his chakara which had taking in the properties of water through his arm. Using manipulation with his suiton chakara, a shield is then formed in front of Shadou that deflects the kunai.

Our senpai is trying to kill us after all of this walking and he’s sleep!

Shadou looks through the mist that started to settle towards Genkai, with a startled look on his face. He was obviously joking with his previous statement, but he still was a bit shocked. He picked up his feet one foot after another, trying to ease the sensation from the blind walking that they had been doing for several hours. He regains his composure, noticing the vines that his senpai wanted them to cut down.

Lets finally get out of here.

Shadou starts to build up his suiton chakara from within. He holds out his right hand and channels the sution chakara towards it. While channeling the chakara, Shadou focuses on manipulating the shape and form of the technique he was preparing to use. A sword made of water is suddenly formed in Shadou’s right hand. Grabbing onto the hilt made of water, Shadou starts to make quick and precise strikes on the vines.

Argh, looks like we'll be here for awhile, Genkai.

Genkai grabs the rope from her sensei and ties it to her waist. She then notices that the air somehow feels different.

The air feels slightly heavier. This must be senpai's doing. I don't know how she knows where to go, bit it's a good thing we have the ropes. Right, Shadou?

Genkai continues walking through the forest with Shadou for several hours. She is sweating profusely from the humidity of the forest. She keeps her right hand on the rope in front of her at all times. When Shadou and Genkai reach the end of the forest the rope becomes loose.

What happened Shadou? Senpai must have stopped. It's still difficult to see but I think we have reached the end of the forest.

As Genkai stands still she feels a sudden vibration in the rope. She looks ahead and suddenly sees a kunai approaching her. With hardly any time to react Genkai instinctively uses her chakra to defend herself. She builds chakra up in her body and visualizes free flowing water. Then she releases water chakra through chakra points in her right arm and hand. With the chakra on the outside of her body she molds it into a shield using her spiritual energy. Genkai swings the shield and it intercepts the kunai. The kunai drops to the ground.

You have my attention Senpai. What would you like us to do?

The mist clears a little and Genkai looks to her left and sees Shadou. She turns and gives a small nod to Shadou. Genkai listens to senpai's orders and walks towards the vines. Genkai once again builds up chakra in her body. She turns it into water chakra by visualizing her chakra flowing as a stream. Afterwards she releases the chakra outside her arm and molds it into a sword through conceptualization.

Well, here goes nothing. This takes me back to my surveying days. Lets get started Shadou.

Genkai starts chopping at the vines on the right while Shadou takes the left. After several hours a path is cleared. Sunlight shines through the forest as the vines fall. Genkai clothes have changed color from the sweat and steam is coming from her arms due to the humidity.

Well, we made it through Shadou. One of us needs to wake up senpai. His snoring probably scared away any nearby animals. I wouldn't mind finding some drinking water as well.

After you two have finally cut through the mass of vines, I finall blink my way back into consciousness, the bright light obscuring my eye sight before they adjust to the newly found light. With the vines cut down, a narrow path with brick walls on either side is revealed, in which I begin walking down. In only a short ten minutes, we fins ourselves in an opening, showing a huge ass dojo that has kanji writing on the front whichwhich reads "Shady".

"Ahhh, home sweet home! This dojo was built by me myself and I, which were all shadow clones. Hehe. I've actually spent quite some time here, so inside there is plenty of food and fresh water sources, you'll see. In those mountains over there *points* that's where my teacher taught me, but I ended up stumbling across this beautiful place and decided it was mine. >.>"

With us now at the dojo, I continue forward and I enter my dojo, waving my hand signalling for you two to enter too! As we enter you guys see your new training grounds, the building being bigger than the outside, or so it seemed. The dojo itself was around 50-75 acres inside, giving us room to do whatever we needed to. I simply go to my green cushioned throne and begin speaking.

"Ok, now what I want you guys to do now is go into one of the water sources, well on top because I'm sure my box jellyfish will kill you if you submerge into their waters... Once you're on the water, slam your hands onto its surface and mold the water in such a way that you create a shark that will jump out of the water and attack a target. Hit anything in here, the place isn't indestructible but it can handle numerous forbidden jutsu at once, so it'll be fine... After that I also want you guys to use the same process as you did with the water sword but this time create a whip in your hands. With the whip, I want you to grab or destroy all of the apples ok? *makes clones that fetches some apples and begin throwing them at you guys*

Shadou looks around in awe at his senpais dojo. He was amazed by the size of the dojo
where they would continue their training. “You could fit 100 ninja in here” Shadou thought to himself. He looked over at Genkai to see that she was also amazed by their senpais home. Once inspecting the dojo, Shadou turns his head back to their senpai who had now got comfortable on his green cushioned throne.

Shadou steps foot onto the top water source after hearing their senpais instructions. They were instructed to create a shark made of water, which Shadou never thought would be possible. Water was definitely an impressive element and Shadou was pleased to be learning it with a great senpai.

Shadou holds his arms to his side, drawing out his inner sution chakara. In a quick thrust, he slams his palm onto the surface of the water. He lets his sution chakara become one with the water source that his palm was resting in, focusing on molding the water. If you were to be observing Shadou preparing to do this technique, you would be able to notice the water rising and taking the form of a shark. Once fully formed, the shark made of water jumps out the water and hits a lantern in the dojo.

Well….he said we could break stuff. Guess its time for the next technique.

Shadou raises up from the water that he stood on. He notices multiple clones resembling his senpai preparing to launch apples at him and Genkai. Shadou performs the three hand seals that they were informed to do for the next technique. He then quickly gathers up his suiton chakara once again and holds his right hand out, as a whip made of water is suddenly formed. Shadou uses the whip to wrap around and grab onto every apple thrown at him, releasing them by his feet one after another. After the clones were done throwing the onslaught of apples, Shadou bent over and picked one up. He took a large bite out of an apple and looked over at Genkai to see how she was doing.

After all those hours of walking, I need a bite.That last apple didn't quite do the job.

Genkai feels a sense of relieve exiting the forest. She walks with senpai and Shadou along the brick path leading to the dojo. At the end of the brick path Genkai sees a large dojo. She turns and looks at Shadou.

Shadou, that dojo is huge! Their must be something interesting in there for it to be that size.

Genkai listens to senpai recollect about her dojo. She is impressed that 3 people could build such a large building. Senpai enters the dojo and signals for her students to do so as well. Genkai and Shadou enter the dojo. As she enters Genkai looks at the surroundings. She sees a lot things which are familiar to her such as water and food, but also sees a lot unfamiliar looking objects. Genkai and Shadou stand inside the front door of the dojo as senpai makes her way to her throne at the center. While senpai's doing this Genkai some barrels with the kanji for fresh water on them on her right.

If you don't mind senpai I'm going to drink some of this water.

Genkai takes the ladle attached to the barrel and drinks the water, as senpai explains her instructions for the next phase of the training. As this happens a large family of Tentacruel passes by in the streams by Genkai and Shadou.

Senpai, are you a gym leader too?

After listening to senpai's instructions Shadou takes off and lands on the surface of one of the streams. Genkai follows suit and jumps to the stream by the duck on senpai's left. Something about that duck attracted Genkai to that area. Genkai prepares and builds up her chakra.

As Genkai builds up her chakra she imagines it in a free flowing nature. She kneels down and slams her hands on the surface of the water. As she does this she pictures a large shark in her mind. Genkai releases the chakra through her hands and manipulates it into the form of a giant shark. Using her arms Genkai directs the movement of the shark towards the duck statue on her right. The shark slams into the statue and immediately dissipates. The statue remains unharmed.

What is that statue made of? It can't be normal concrete. Is that a clone? When did senpai make that, I couldn't follow his moves at all.

Genkai sees a clone coming towards her. The clone jumps on top of the statue and starts throwing apples. Genkai remembering her recent training from the woods begins to gather chakra in her body. As before she converts the chakra to water chakra. She releases the chakra on the outside of her body and further focuses it by performing the hand seals Rat → Dog → Ox. The chakra forms into a whip in Genkai's right hand. Genkai then proceeds to whip the apples Castlevania style. She hits most of the apples but misses the last one. The last one hits her directly in the face and then lands on the surface of the water. Genkai picks up the apple and eats it.

I'm glad he threw apples instead of kunai :sweat:

I get off of my throne and create a water clone next to me, it looking exactly identical to me in every way, not a single flaw in it visual image

"See, like that. The clone will be able to use any water jutsu you know that is C-rank or below, thus making it good to fight with in a tactical way but not in a way that needs you to use high ranked jutsu... Oh, and the clone can't leave within five meters of you or it will turn back into its useless liquid form. u_u once you've successfully created the water clone, I want you to build up chakra in your mouth and turn it into a sticky, adhesive water property which will then be spewed out as a small yet wide wave of sticky, syrup like water that can make the ground sticky enough to trap someone. You can even shoot it directly on people..... And YES I'M A GYM LEADER GENKAI! Do you wanna try and get your water badge?"

Being caught in the technique can be avoided by channelling chakra to one's feet allowing one to walk upon it uninhibited, beforehand.

Shadou tilts his head towards the side, attempting to hear his senpais instructions as he spoke with a mouth full of food. He looks down towards the water, admiring the reflection of himself. Once he had a basic idea of what his senpai expected them to do and made a mental note about his appearance, Shadou performs the tiger hand seal and gathers his inner suiton chakara. An identical clone of Shadou made of water then appears right next to him.

You there, stay put!

After pointlessly ordering the clone around, Shadou continues to bring forth his suiton chakara, channeling it towards his mouth. He performs the necessary hand seals to prepare for his next technique. He proceeds to open his mouth and spits out a stream of sticky liquid onto the surface of his senpais dojo.The clone that he previously created, mimicked Shadou’s every move and also spewed out sticky, syrup like water. This liquid was capable of trapping any person who dared walked on it without thinking.

Got it!

Shadou looked in Genkai’s direction to see if she had succeeded.

Genkai listens to her senpai's instructions and watches as she creates a water clone. Afterwards she attempts the jutsu herself. She looks down at the water and sees her reflection. Genkai saves that mental image in her head and notes that she needs to cut back on the sweets. Then Genkai builds up water chakra in her body and releases it through multiple chakra points. She performs the tiger hand seal to further focus the chakra. With this chakra she molds the water in front of her into her image. The clone looks like Genkai but is completely naked. Embarrassed the clone runs behind Genkai and hides.

Whoops, guess I forgot about about the clothes. :blush:

Genkai looks across the stream to see how Shadou is doing. She then gets ready to perform the next jutsu. Again Genkai builds up water chakra in her body. When it reaches a peak she releases in into her mouth and immediately performs the Ram → Tiger handseals. Before releasing the water infused chakra from her mouth she visualizes her chakra with the stickiness and viscosity of honey. She runs over to one of the four platforms at the entrance of the dojo and spews the sticky liquid (XD) all over it's surface. The clone follows her as she runs.

Your dojo is getting messy senpai. Someone is going to have to clean this.

"Ok, that was perfect, except for the naked image of Genkai. I feel like some sort of... Pedo... I don't wanna see you guys nakieeee! Do I look like orochimaru to you? o_o' now, know that you guys may be able to create a personal technique which uses adhesive water, which I've done already as a youngster..."

After saying that I spew from my mouth a large quantity of adhesive sticky water which I mold into a large shark the size of an average great white shark. I simply aim it at the naked Genkai clone, completely crushing the clone and leaving a large pool of adhesive water around the said area..

Good thing that wasn’t you Genkai.

Shadou blinks his eyes repeatedly after seeing the shark about as big as a great white in the form of water, obliterate Genkai’s clone. He then turns his sight back towards his senpais clone that stood on the water source nearby. Shadou focused on the water that the clone took its position on and started to let his chakara become one with that source of water. Shadou then stared to manipulate the form of the water as it begins to rise from underneath the clone, rotating in rapid succession due to Shadou's high level of concentration. His senpais clone is caught within the technique, being destroyed by its force and power.

Wow, I like that technique.

Shadou claps his hands together, pleased with his own work. He quickly peeks over at Genkai to see if she’s okay. Shadou then gathers up his chaka in preparation to perform a technique that the two had previously learned. Still using the water source to his advantage, Shadous chakara takes on the properties of the water element. The water where the clone once stood begins to rise, creating a thick mist that surrounded him.

Once concealed within the mist, Shadou uses his chakara to make the natural light particles bounce off of the water particles. He focuses on making the particles strategically bounce around so that a source of blinding light is created, capable of blinding anyone within range. After performing technique, the mist along with the blinding light eases down as Shadou becomes fully visible once again. A few drops of sweat come from Shadou’s forehead. That technique was more tricky then had had assumed it would be.

After Genkai listens to her senpai's instructions she briefly glances at Shadou with a smirk. She is eager to continue. Genkai stares at the clone in front of her standing on the surface of the water. She builds up water chakra in her body and releases it through multiple chakra points. Then she imagines the water chakra compressing and rotating like water in a vortex below the surface of the stream. With the chakra focused on this mental image Genkai directs it at the water directly behind the clone. A small vortex appears in the water which produces a rotating pillar of water that looks like a fang. The pillar hits the clone in the back and it vanishes.

Now it's time to deal with the clone on the left. Prepare yourself!

It can't fool the Byakugan, but, due to the mist being created with the user's chakra, any Sharingan and Rinnegan-user will see the mist coloured by their opponent's chakra, which will effectively hide the user from the dōjutsu.

Genkai directs her attention to the other clone. She recollects on her earlier experiences in the forest. Genkai builds up water chakra in her body. She exerts more chakra than in the forest and manipulates it to draw moisture from the stream and produce a thick fog that covers the entire stream. Genkai noting where the clone is opens the fog in certain spots to let light reflect and bounce off the surface of the water. Intuitively she calculates the angle of refraction for the light when it hits the stream. The light hits the stream and is directed towards the clones eyes. The clone is blinded and uses his hands to cover his eyes. Genkai grabs a kunai from her pouch and throws it at the clone. The clone disappears and the fog slowly dissipates.

As you guys perform the techniques successfully I give off a glowing smile, signalling my satisfaction in my two best students. We had only been in the dojo for four days and the two young shinobi were making great progress with their water skill, this pleased me beyond what showed on the outside. After you guys finish I stand up, stretch for a while and then begin walking to another area of the dojo.. the kitchen. When I get there I have a few chefs inside there already preparing a feast for a three of us. The food varies from lobsters and fish, to deer meat, roasted chickens, turkeys and hams... There's no veggies but plenty of fruit and fresh fruit juices. Without telling you guys a damn thing, I begin eating me a variety of the foods, leaving only about half for you guys to munch on.

"you guys might wanna eat up, we haven't eaten anything big since... Well we haven't since training started!"

After about two hours of eating and drinking, I head back to the main training grounds and await you two to get back on or near a water source...

"Now that I'm full, let's move on eh? Now with this next jutsu, you'll need to be near a water source ok? Start by weaving in these 3 hand seals *shows the needed hand seals* and once you've accomplished that; take control of the water with your chakra and manipulate it in such a manner that it revolves around you like a tornado. The tornado of water will act as both a defensive and offensive mechanism, thus being of great use... Now block the kunai with the tornado and destroy my clones too." *creates a few clones to attack you while also throwing a few kunai at you*

I watch on, scoping out if you guys will perform it right like the previous jutsu I've taught you. After you guys finish, I move on to a new technique.

"Hmm, good good.. now, gather up some chakra in both palms and clap them together in front of your chest as if you were in prayer, per say. After that, use the built up chakra to manifest water in front of your clapped together hands in the form of a spiralling vortex. The vortex then explodes towards your target as a wave which you'll be able to freely control with simple hand gestures. Got it?"

Ahh, that was good.

Shadou wipes off some crumbs from the corner of his mouth and gives his senpai a thumbs up. He proceeds to walk to a nearby water source located at the top of the dojo. Before the clones can launch the kunais at him, Shadou quickly performs three hand seals and begins to gather his suiton chakara. The water around him quickly begins to rise, becoming a dangerous spinning vortex of forceful water. At the same time the tornado surrounded Shadou, the clones had released their kunai’s, throwing with the intent to kill. The kunai’s collide with the water tornado which deflects them and causes each kunai to go flying around the dojo, landing at separate spots. Shadou begins to scratch his head looking on as one of the kunai’s lands by his senpais foot.

Oops….

Shadou gathers up his suiton chakara once again, channeling it towards both of his hands. Once his chakara is gathered in the required spot, Shadou raises his hands before his chest and brings them together at full force, clapping them. Water in the form of a spiraling vortex appears in front of Shadou. Upon reaching some of the clones, the vortex explodes as a wave which wipes a few of the clones out. Shadou waves his hand towards some more clones, causing the wave of water to head that way.

After a few of the clones were wiped out, Shadou look towards Genkai to see how she was handling the technique.

Genkai feeling slightly bloated from the meal walks back to the main training ground with Shadou. She listens to her senpai's instructions and makes her way to the stream by the duck where she was training before.A few of senpai's clones follow her. Genkai builds up water chakra in her body. She releases it through her chakra points and performs the Ram → Horse → Bird hand seals to further focus the chakra. Genkai envisions the water chakra twisting around her. Water then starts to twist around Genkai's entire body. The clones grabs 3 kunai each and launch them at Genkai. The kunai hit the tornado and are deflected into the stream and into some of the statues. Genkai then runs towards a clone and shortly arrives in front of it. The twisting water hits the clone and it disappears. Genkai then turns to her right and runs into another clone causing it to disappear. She then turns and faces the last clone.

Genkai stares at the clone now in front of her. She builds up water chakra in her body and releases it through her chakra points. She then claps her hands together. While she does this she imagines a spiraling vortex and it appears between her palms. Genkai lets out a shout and in an instant the vortex explodes. A wave of water shoots out and hits the clone causing it to disappear. Genkai looks over at Shadou to see how he has done.
