Dont say he isnt as strong as Kisame, because thats obvious, but then again he's still just a kid.

OT: Kisame was one of the SS from Kiri and he defected and became a partner to a Uchiha who defeated Oro and who possess MS. Suigetsu was the first subordinate Sasuke chose, he also defected from Kiri and aspires to become the leader of the SS. Not to mention he is a Suiton expert. His partner is also a Uchiha who defeated Oro and possess MS. Coincidence? I think not​

You can't say 'Don't say he isn't as strong as kisame cause he's still a kid' (paraphrasing) and then say he's a suiton expert. I may be the only one but that just doesn't seem right to me. Second he is not the new kisame they just have a similar life path. Itachi didn't really defeat oro it wasn't even really a fight.

You think that Sasuke, a teenage version of itachi, chose a kiri nin who wants to be a SS; Suigetsu, Possibly a teenage version of Kisame, is all coincidence? And Oro was afraid of Itachi after he seen his capability when they met that Iwa lame who blows up everything. He knew he stood no chance against him, especially after he attacked Itachi and failed miserably.

Yeah, I firmly believe one day Suigetsu will surpass Kisame. He'd have Kisame's skills with Samehada, but his brother's skills with all the other swords.

Plus, they're both loyal to their friends. As shown when Kisame bit off his own tongue and Suigetsu fought to protect Taka.

Kisame already stated that Suigetsu surpassed Zabuza, so it's only a matter of time before he surpasses Mangetsu or Kisame.

Didn't say the same life path i said similar. Because is paired with an uchiha and holds one of the swords of the swordsmen of the mist doesn't make him the new kisame. they are too different
and it is just a coincidence.

Because Oro was scared doesn't mean he was defeated. It wasn't even a fight.

As for what the OP is saying, I agree. Although Sui isn't as close with Sasuke as Kisame was to Itachi, their dynamics were pretty much the same battle wise. They are very similar personality wise, but the only difference is Sui is more energetic than Kisame is.

Oh I agree. Itachi is very powerful in comparison to Kisame. What I meant was, that Kisame and Itachi have a mutual respect for one another, while Suigestu and Sasuke don't hold each other to that regard. And you're welcome.

Yea in that regard, you are right, but this maybe because they are still young and sasuke wasn't really looking to become close to them in that sense, although i will say his respect for suigetsu increased when Sui sacrificed himself for Sasuke and the rest of Taka during the capture B arc. They still have time to grow, i think Kishi is leaving room for this or expects us to realize this maybe? Not sure, could be reading to much into it lol

I have not a clue who the leader was, i certainly didnt mean Kisame was the leader, I just wanted to mention that It was Suigetsu goal to become the leader of the same faction Kisame was apart of, maybe Kishi is hinting that he will surpass Kisame by achieving a goal he didnt? I suppose I might have caused some confusion when i was comparing them and didnt clarify it more, sorry.
