Garuda is Sasuke's Hawk.
It stands to reason that Suigetsu cannot drown, he is water.

Man Zabuza just can't beat suigetsu. Suigetsu would just fuse with the water of the water prison and troll Zabuza.

Not going to drown him but Suigetsu is rendered unable to battle. Zabuza outclasses him with the sword (though i'd still watch that) and when it came to jutsu, Zabuza quickly wins with his water manipulation.

Zabuza is literally manipulating the water into an inescapable sphere that could hold a physically strong adult man. Suigetsu is instantly out of the game if caught in the Water prison.

In an all out kenjutsu battle Zabuza would easily outclass him. But at the same type all physical attacks are useless againts Suigetsu, therefore Suigetsu can literally stand still and outlast Zabuza.

Considering it got somebody of Kakashi's calibur and Zabuza has experience of the Hozuki hydrification from his student and his Mist upbringing, I think it'll be one of the first things he'll use. And it's definitely landing sooner or later with clones.

Well VS matches have to work by a certain kind of hypothetical logic, so I guess a VS match-up isn't an actual battle to the death it's just until the other combatant isn't able to battle any longer. Like Hidan's head being chopped off or a ninja put under a genjutsu.

Still, with a sharingan that's not happening. Regardless, Zabuza has more chakra and skill than Sui and so will be able to lower that stamina and get a water prison in eventually. Water clones as well? Easy.

Not relevant when his skills cant counter Zabuza's style. It's all about the matchup. They might be on the same tier, but just because Suigetsu's hax, not because of his skills.
