I like Suigetsu. But the mayority of NB highly underestimate his capabilities.

Nah but this is a battle of brains vs brawn I love Suigetsu and the Hōzuki clan but I can't see him winning as Shikamaru would figure something out to trap him or defeat him depending on the environment and location.

Shikamaru is smart, but that doesn't mean shit if he can't counter Suigetsu's techniques.

Me too! He's quite the amazing shinobi to me. And there a quite a few people here who believe Suigetsu is rather strong. especially with his advantage of avoiding all physical attacks.

No way Shika can win against Suigetsu in this state.
I also question myself if his shadow possesing technique work on suigetsu.

This is an unfair match-up. Shadow technique isn't doing anything to someone who's basically liquid. All of shikamarus jutsu is countered and shikamaru has shown little resistance to clsoe range fighting kenjutsu and taijutsu. If suigetsu decides to go avatar then its game over
