First of all, Hashirama said Itachi is a better shinobi than him because he died for his village.

Minato thinks that's really cute. Dude sacrificed his life and accepted eternal torture in the Dead God's stomach just so the village has a jinchuuriki and Naruto grows up to become the world's savior.

Not only that, but Hashirama has no idea whatsoever who Minato is.
