Dubs, you gotta watch Bebop, Black Lagoon, Baccano!, FLCL, and Wolf's Rain. Those are probably the best ones out there (the first three ARE the best) and Steins;Gate's pretty high up there, too (if you saw Chaos;Head, that's an absolute must-watch).

As for others:

• Darker Than Black: Gemini of the Meteor (2nd half)
• Mushishi (might not appreciate it as much as I did)
• Eden of the East (watch both films, too)
• The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (could call it a slice-of-life, but I honestly don't see any in there)
• Durarara!! (same guys responsible for Baccano!)
• Sword Art Online

And I know the chances are slim, but I'm still recommending Clannad, as well.
