My suggestion is to have a system where after a thread reaches more then 10 pages you will get notified of people that have quoted you in that particular thread, while less then 10 pages, you can simply go through it to see if anyone has quoted you but with threads of longer pages that isn´t possible to do as it would take sh*tload of time.

You can subscribe threads in this site to get notified if someone comments on that thread but you should also make it so with bigger threads that you get notified of people having quoted you.

This would work wonders on some of the huge debate threads and the weekly manga discussion thread as people usually only comment once and then it gets lost in the thousands of other comments and you won´t be looking if anyone has quoted you but with this you would come to that thread and reply to whoever has quoted you no matte how long that thread is, the thread would also get way more activity that way.

This is something that exist in opb so i was thinking of having the same thing here in nb especially since there are way more people and threads with 20 pages here then on opb, there the hottest thread doesn´t have more then 80 comments so this is my suggestion.

If you're interested in a thread you'll keep reading it. Such as a debate thread, you wouldn't post unless you wanted to see other views right?

You think i would read through 1000 comments? I will read through some pages but i would get bored quickly and same goes for everyone else, how would it take too much work? Just implement the system and it´s good to do(not saying it´s easy) but as i said, when you go to your user cp in obp, you have both threads you subscribed to aswell as people who´ve quoted your posts.
The same staff members exist here so it´s very possible and would surely improve this site.
There is no reason not to do this.

You can use search and search your username. That way you'll see it because on the quoted post it'll say, "Originally posted by MyWorldOfTsukuyomi" at the top, and will show up in your search.

not really; when you use the thread-exclusive search button like that it shows you every time someone writes your name, which includes if they quote it. it narrows down the search to that 10 page length he suggested before, if that.
