Ok, so if you haven't been living under a rock in Konoha Town, you'll have noticed that a lot of things are getting out of hand, such as threads being repeated and lots of troll accounts. This has gotten to the point where people are posting/whining about NB starting to "suck".
Now, the reason this is a problem is because Mods aren't just tools or objects meant to come at our every beck and call, they are people who are here to have fun and past time, just like the regular members while also having to balance their jobs as Mods and their real lives. Most Admins are working on maintenance. This causes the threads and some problems to stick around.
So, my suggestion is, during times when something important, such as maintenance, is happening and it causes Mods/Admins to be a little slow to get the threads, there be a "Volunteer" application. What does it mean? It's simple. Every three weeks or so during this kind of period, an application thread be made where 2-4 people apply to be temporary "Mini-Mods."
The Mini-Mods will be in their position for about 2 weeks and will assist the Mods in, well, Moderation. Then someone will pick out whoever he/she deems suitable and fitting for the job. The applications can follow something along the lines of:
Name:
Time On NB:
Online Time:
Do You Have General Knowledge of the Rules:
What section do you want to apply to moderate:
This is different from Mod applications since these are temporary and will have restricted power. The Mods may be able to close/delete threads and ban alts if needed.
I know some will say "simply report the troll threads", but the Mods, at least to my knowledge, aren't instantly notified when a thread is reported. If a Mod or Admin is indeed busy, as mentioned before, then they might not be able to get to the thread on time. This temporary addition to the Staff might be able to help. After all, it's another member said a little while ago, Mods aren't alone. If regular members could chip in, things might go a little more smoothly.
