My story [Don't Read if you don't want to]

Earlier today (3 hours ago), I began working on a new biography. I was on the post new thread option, I inserted the title. I then started typing the content and a wallie of background information. Suddenly, the electricity went out, and returned 2 seconds later. I switched on the computer, only to see that all my hard work of two hours, is gone. I was indeed upset, but I started over. I began again, from point 0, working my way back through and almost to the point of catching up to where I left off before. An hour later, the electricity went out again, to return 2 seconds later. Expecting no different result than before, all my work, once again was gone. Which leads to my suggestion.

Suggestion

I suggest the installment of an auto save feature. This feature automatically saves your work over a given short time period. Eg. every 2 minutes.
This would prevent many other incidents similar to what happened to me. If I am creating a post, and the web browser immediately shuts down, I can get back, and simply hit the "restore from last auto-save" option at the bottom of the insert text box. Saves us all time and trouble. I even took my time out to search for the feature that can be installed on this forum.

We also have this feature on OPB, if i remember correctly.

Actually yea, this would be great my computer tends to freeze whenever i type over 1000 characters 0_0 ( Not sure why, it only happens on NB ) So i stopped trying to make a ridiculously long background/history. ( Hence forth i'm using word )

So all in all yes i agree i tremendously hope this is implemented.

Agreed; this is something which will benefit everyone. I can't really think of a reason why this shouldn't be implemented.

You should of used a text editing program after you lost your work for the first time, I usually just open this cloud note's chrome app

since it automatically saves your work on their servers.

On topic: I fully support of this if it wouldn't lead to much resource hogging or inconvenience.

Well, when writing wallies it'd be best to do so in a word document xd but still, something like this wouldn't hurt and would only work out beneficial O_O

Same thing happened to me yesterday when I was making a thread in ninja world. Typed a hell of a lot then Bam, power out. I started back over but was lazy so I just made the thread shorter. Would have been nice for a draft thing.

I use the My Notes option in the top right next to log out

I would type there and it has a save option, so every now and then i could save it
