So here's my suggestion:

My Suggestion is to create a new forum for all NarutoBase FAQ's + Guides + Other information to be put under one section (Excluding RP - Because there already is a section)

Why: People tend to look past stickies and head straight to the

button and post their thread asking a question that's already answered. Also, since all the guides and such is posted in one thread, It's a bit harder to navigate through for a quick answer (Yes I am well aware of CTRL + F) and with time will become a lot to look through.

What would be in the new forum?

All the posts in this thread would be not just a post, but a single thread themselves. This would make them easier to find as the thread's title would be easier to spot and click on then using CTRL + F. I would just go to the new section - Look at the thread titles - See "★ NarutoBase Reputation System" - and say "Found it, now I don't need to create a new thread at all! Problem solved."

The reason I say the new section be where I put it in the picture above is the majority of NarutoBase Member's 1st thread is in the "Konnichi Wa!" so they are more likely to notice the new section before the "Questions & Suggestions" section.

Threads in the section will only be created by the Moderators and Admin and would be closed immediately. Similar to how Lawliet's thread is.

So ya...This is basically my suggestion :)

Feedback anyone?

It would be a nice addition but it might go unnoticed like the highlighted Seach and FAQ buttons in the toolbar.
The size of the word "FAQ" is about 24 pixels wide. A Complete new section is different by quite a lot.

I am pretty confident that a new section will lessen the threads in Q&S. Hence why I suggested the new section to be above Q&S because we are trained to read from the top to bottom. That's why people will notice the new section first.

I agree with most of that. But why remake the threads? People have already created posts and took time to make them, why remove those and give the mods and Adminns more work?

If the people won't read simple things now, I guarantee they won't later.

I do love the idea myself, but the question is will it be more effective? Overall, I'd say so, but only a little bit.

Precisely. If they are dumb not enough to read that is their fault not ours. Instead of avoiding the problem we should be showing the example non?

@Cookie

I understand where you are coming from but adding a new section takes up valuable space. Besides that is what stickies were invented for.

I actually like this idea, it was brought up before though.
Really Lawliet? I mean wasn't that the whole reason of having stickies? No offense but that would be like saying that all the work people put into making those stickies wasn't worth the time and effort. I would like to hear more about your opinion on this and how it is better.

The stickies won't be removed. They would be in their own thread. Basically Each POST in the FAQ thread, would be a THREAD on their own. Do you catch my drift?

It's easier to ignore a thread. But it's hard to ignore a whole section. Like I said. People read Top to Bottom. The Description and Name of the Section will make them go in to that section first.

Thanks lawliet :lawliet:

Their time and effort won't have gone to waste. It will receive higher and more recognition. Since their post will be in a unique thread of their own... Separate from any other threads/posts...understand?

Hum...it might actually work and be helpfull. The only problem i see is that people keep making threads and don't read the stickies any way. But it doesn't mean this wouldn't help. Hum...not bad, not bad

I think that is because people just see the word "Questions" in "Questions & Suggestions"

If there is a whole new section it might be able to ease your workload in the Q&S section.
