[Suggestion] Suggestion custom checker sub group

Alright the customs thread is open again but thanks to another case of inactivetivty only lok is left to check the customs so I feel we're still left with a problem. It's to much work to leave to one person or even a mod who has to many responsibilities.

Why don't we make a group similar to the senseis ( or even have the senseis do it) that check the customs they can have sliver colored names. They can't edit so they'll have to quote the posts they check. They can take a test like a sensei test that will check of they're suited for the job. If its possible they may need the ability to close the thread but I don't think that'll be needed.

There can be like 5 in the group at a time and they can rotate each week. This takes the responsibility away from the mods giving them one less chore

Also, its unlikely Sensei would be given Mod-powers so I doubt this would be approve.

Checking Customs is a Mod job anyway. Now you giving it to a group of Sensei that quotes instead of editing within a post and can't even close a thread - that's too much.

This isn't an erroneous suggestion as it may seems. Implementing this would only make quicker and faster custom checking. Too bad only Mods can close and re-open a thread unless this certain senseis aren't made an exception and there's also a problem of inactivity. No matter how you look at it even from different perspective, people would still go inactive making the problem ever more inexplicable.

It just seems like we go through cycles of this every year... Right now school just go back in session and so there's always a bit of a slowdown. Patience is a must, though if there is a genuine issue, the staff will resolve it the best they can as usual

How about during these "slower periods" the mods issue a 1-2 CJ cycle. In other words, you can only submit one or two jutsu to be checked. I know this might seem like an encumbrance but it would help the mod (if only one) from over stressing having to check so many jutsus and could lead to a faster cycle. But there is something I think we still need to consider that LoK brought up recently. Not every mod that checks the customs is knowledgeable enough to give a good judgement on it, sometimes leaving several jutsu to remain pending for a while. I think that is what really needs to be addressed rather than just adding a bunch of people.

Similar concepts have been suggested before and always declined, and always will be, because what you described are nothing more than mods with different colored names and less powers, thus more confusing and impractical. Essentially this would only double our problems as we need to both choose and monitor these silver mods and this while it will not change anything. The reasons as why some CJ mods are inactive will apply as much to these silver mods as they do for the normal mods.

There is simply no room between RPers and RP mods for such a group of people.
