I know people will disagree with me, but I really like Sakura's character. I used to dislike her in the very beginning of part 1, but I started to like her during the Forest of Death arc, when she cuts off her hair in order to protect Naruto, Sasuke and Lee and tries her best. She is the most human and realistic character of this manga, she doesn't have any kekkei genkai, neither she got any power up, she isn't a member of a noble clan as Sasuke, Naruto and Hinata are...Sakura was an ordinary and weak girl that wasn't even capable to defend herself, but she got stronger on her own. She became one of the best medical ninjas, defeated Sasori, an Akatsuki member, saved many people, including Naruto and Sasuke. Many people may think that her love for Sasuke diminishes her character. I don't think so. Since every character in Naruto has someone as a driving force (Naruto's driving force to become stronger was Sasuke, Sasuke's driving force was Itachi, and so on...), Sakura's driving force to become stronger is her love for Sasuke. I don't see this as a bad thing. I see Sakura as a determined girl that doesn't give up of what she wants, I know she has MANY flaws and made many mistakes, but even though, she is a good and kind girl that did some amazing things. She will always be one of my favorite characters.

I also would like to point that Sakura almost gave up on Sasuke when she tried to kill him with a poisoned kunai, while Naruto never gave up. Naruto is even more "obsessed" in chase after Sasuke but nobody says that it diminishes his character. He lost and arm to save Sasuke and nobody says that it destroys his character development.

I can say that 80% of girls would act exactly like Sakura in all of the situations she went through. I indentify myself with Sakura in many aspects.

If Naruto never give up on Sasuke and tries to save him no matter what, he is called hero, nice guy, good friend, etc.

But if Sakura tries to do the same, she is called b*tch, sl*t, cow and so on...

All these are true. I love Sakura and honestly all of her pseudo-fans who abandoned her were not really her fans to begin with.
