But Hinata is a side character though. Thus the standards to which we judge her character are lower than that of Sakura's, who is a MAIN character. Taking that into account, Sakura is a bigger disappointment than Hinata.

Hinata's character has actual substance, what with her being a Hyuga and the Heir to said clan. Hence why she's getting a movie.

Why are you bringing up Hinata anyways ? She's a side charcater. Her development is good for her status.

I've said this before, but I'd consider Sakura having good development if she was labeled as a side character and had little panel time, but no .... she's a main charcater with a shit tone of screen time, yet has very little development.

Exactly, I like her character but the lack of background info when she's from a famous and well known clan kinda annoys me, I wanna know who she is and more info on her clan, I guess the movie will sort it out and fully change my opinion then U_U

A side character or main character they should still have influence in the story, her clan is literally unknown, when Kaguya was introduced I actually thought Kishi would make a arc about them, but nope Lol
