[Discussion] subs and dubs

First let me say I prefer subs to dubs more often then not but we see enough threads and posts about how muh better subs are so I thought I'd try and change the pace a little.

I enjoy a dub from time to time, sometimes I like to watch an anime while doing some other things and miss the dialogue on subs so I throw on a dub and catch the dialogue, anyone else do this or is it just me?

I'd like to use this thread as a chance to express your opinion on what anime have a better dub than sub(or what anime you enjoy more in dub than sub I should say) and if it leads to someone finding some anime to try that's a nice bonus.

Some anime I've found with good dubs are

Desert Punk
Psycho-Pass
Kenichi
DBZ

What anime(if any) do you guys prefer to watch with dubs over subs?

Japanese dub is the way to go, i only watch dub when i don't have a choice.

Honestly I prefer dubbed, I'd rather have my full attention on the anime instead of worrying about subtitles and besides most studio's do a fine job with english voice acting. Don't get me wrong though, I do enjoy subbed as well.

I agree with this, especially if I am feeling too lazy to read the subs, then dub to the rescue! XD Seriously though, I get that there can be a few cringeworthy dub voices, but it's well done for the most part. Another plus for watching dub is there are no subs over your video. U_U I don't really have a problem with either.

I will watch sub for the newer stuff and unavailable, it's not a problem for me.

I like dubs better when they're good, I don't have to concentrate as hard reading the words for hours.

And DBZ, I don't even think I could enjoy a subbed version of it.

dbz is absolute dogshit in the dub. it completely shit on what made the manga and original so good
