Suì-Fēng is a relatively petite woman with gray eyes and black hair. Her hair is worn short with two long braids bound in white cloth, each ending in a large golden ring. Suì-Fēng's hair is shoulder-length and had a softer look to it. She wears a uniform with a sleeveless haori and a yellow obi tied around her waist. Underneath her standard uniform, Suì-Fēng wears the uniform of her old commander-in-chief, which has no sleeves and doesn't cover the back, though she does wear long black arm bands. Instead of wearing standard sandals with tabi, she wears traditional Chinese shoes with ordinary white socks.

Suì-Fēng is staunchly loyal, firm, and unbending in her beliefs. She is a hard worker and takes a strong moral stance — she particularly believes in following orders. She is generally reserved and truly not arrogant in any manner like her lieutenant, though she is not above mocking/joking around with her opponents or smirking while in combat, a trait also seen in her predecessor. She will not hesitate in the slightest to strike down even her subordinates if they stand in her way.
Suì-Fēng likes fish, but dislikes meat. She also seems to be quite obsessed with Yoruichi [her old sensei], and often spends her free time dreaming about the days when they fought together.
Suì-Fēng is a person of incredible resolve, not hesitating to do whatever it takes to complete a mission and defeat her enemy. Very rarely will Suì-Fēng show signs of desperation or emotion on the battlefield, except when it concerns her former master. Despite her cold demeanor and constant attack towards her assistant, she has displayed a certain level of faith in him (trusting him to act as a distraction while she carries out a plan).

History:
Suì-Fēng was born in Konohagakure to a couple of average, but intelligent Nara's. However, even though she came from a very standard background, her ambition to become a ninja was great. Too much so that it came to her parents abandoning her when she wouldn't take on education at a top school and refused to go. Suì-Fēng was destined to go to ninja school and was accepted into the ninja academy at a very early age.
Becoming a top-grade student, she was the top ninja in the academy and was entered into the Chūnin exams just 6 months after being there. She passed it independently and went off to do missions as soon as she could. Eventually leaving Konoha for Suna. Her passion for being a shinobi was prevalent and the Kazekage recognised it quickly. He took her on as a personal student and trained her as best as he could... before she received a message saying that her parents had been killed. Even though she had abandoned her parents at an early age, Suì-Fēng's feelings for her parents were restored and she blamed herself for a few days. However, after she had calmed down, all Suì wanted was to get revenge. She wanted it so badly that she was going crazy. The Kazekage knew he needed to help her before she did something too extreme.
The only thing he could do, was to help her find her parents killers and notify her of their location.
After he had sought to help Suì-Fēng, she got the information that the Kazekage had given her and found her parents killers. There was seven of them and she single handedly killed them all with no mercy and no remorse.
Her feelings were set to piece after this and her feat was spread across the ninja villages. The Kazekage had also realised what she had achieved and promoted her to a commander of a squad of ANBU soldiers. From then on she would be known as the 2nd Captain.
When she was promoted to this status, she met a lot of other notorious names, all of them being captains of the Gotei 13, a group of 13 ninjas who all have an ANBU squad under their control.
