This seems like good advice, but I don't know enough about studying to confirm it

I can assure you that it's very effective. It helps a lot to categorize and organize everything so that you can actually understand what you're learning. Especially for the long term.

Step by step, from the simplest most basic topics (what is brain, what is cellular respiration?) to the subcategories and specific details. Just try to keep it all organized.

I pay attention in class, when I get home I spend time with my boyfriend.
I usually do my homework/study/review when he´s asleep. Tho when exams are near I spend a little more time for college stuff

I don't believe copying is that smart. Not only is it a strategy that is dependent upon the knowledge of others, meaning altogether your outcome is out of your control, but it can be a mistake that can cost you an entire class grade if you get caught and perhaps even worse punishment in higher universities.

Hard work studying can't be replaced by anything else in a class.

actually review the notes and the relevant material from lectures after class. It should be obvious but a lot of people don't do it. Reviewing soon after class (before the next lecture) will help you remember concepts for a longer period of time

Im already doing a master degree but I would always prefer to study on my own after studying a bit in groups to share some thoughts. For me the best way was to write short summaries of everything. For some people writing it is a good way of memorizing better and my degree had a lot of stuff to memorize. While studying and making side notes I would also take breaks of 15/30 minutes, it helps a lot.

Sometimes to help my motivation I had a friend who would study at the same time as me and we would set a page or issue limit to that day :) It's important to schedule and plan what you're going to study each day and manage the time.

Also if you feel sleepy, do sleep a bit before returning to study. Never sacrifice nights if possible because sleeping well is extremely important and should not be desregarded :)

What i do is just going over them, mostly i understand and remembers them at that time .

And yeah ! i don't like group studies either it hinders me but i liked studying with few friends back in my school days, having few opinions about something is better than just having my own .

Yeah, I think when it comes to memory retention, studying in the morning helps rather than the night before a test.

if the test is in the next day or even morning yes, I'd rather go to sleep early and wake up earlier in the small hours to review some things :) ty for rep
