Just another mini-guide on how Naruto handles their episodes.
These ~8 teams work in a constant rotation in order to finish a Naruto episode every week. The reason for 8 full teams is because it takes approximately 6-7 weeks to produce *one* average episode, so it is the only way to keep up.
Normally, every rotation contains 4 Pierrot teams, and 4 outsourced teams. So I will use the most reent 8 episodes as the examples below:
#413: Studio Pierrot (group #1)
#414: Studio Drop
#415: Studio Pierrot (group #2)
#416: Studio Mouse
#417: Studio Pierrot (group #3)
#418: Studio Piggy
#419: Studio CJT
#420: Studio Pierrot (group #4) - 420 unconfirmed, but certainly Pierrot
The four outsourced studios (Drop, Mouse, CJT, and Piggy) are all low budget studios, used to save time and money. These 4 teams will NEVER produce a high quality episode, the best they can put out is average quality. This is the reason why about 50% of all episodes are low-to-mediocre quality.
All Studio Pierrot episodes can range greatly from Average, Good, Great, or Excellent quality. It only depends on how much budget they want to put into a given episode. For example, they gave a great budget to episodes 322 and 375 (Madara vs Alliance, Kakashi vs Obito) just to name a couple.
On a side note, episode 420 may contain the 8 gates vs Madara section of the fight. Since 418-419 is already doomed, we have to hope 420 gets a high budget, or else the entire fight will be doomed.
