(also known as: argument from small numbers, statistics of small numbers, insufficient statistics, unrepresentative sample [form of], argument by generalization, faulty generalization, hasty conclusion [form of], inductive generalization, insufficient sample, lonely fact fallacy, over generality, over generalization)

Description: Drawing a conclusion based on a small sample size, rather than looking at statistics that are much more in line with the typical or average situation.

Logical Form:

Sample S is taken from population P.
Sample S is a very small part of population P.
Conclusion C is drawn from sample S.

What the hell is a ghetto slur? Using profanity makes you uneducated? You're just a bigot. Lol.

I think that person is just putting stuff from their behind. It's also amazing that that person generalized a whole race and claim his invalid opinion was a fact. I even replied to that person with a valid point about hasty generalizations and told him I was african-american but he didn't listen. Yea, we are sooo stupid(sarcasm).

Because some words used with the right setting show youhow they feel ow I don't think using the n word gets the pint across but these days saying your mad does not reaaly make others think Yu are mad unless you shout it now if you say you are F word mad or shout GD! I'll share a story:-
This fella I know during middle school became a playboy during highschool. During his Junior year he started releasing videos of him putting *** references and whatever. He was caught and got humiliated GREATLY. He couldn't even raise his head without being shamed. Kids would knock on all doors looking for him "HEY PROF, IS THAT (insert his joke on him) here?!" Boy started crying.

But he brought all of this on himself. Eventually the advisor summoned him and disabled him from said school for unknown amount of days. His father had to even carry his bag because everywhere he is. He gets shamed. And it is no help the students are all childish folk.

The end, this boy needed to change schools.


As another story. I stole a lot of people's smartphones during my sophomore year. Sold them, then changed schools. This one isn't real though. Unlike the one above.

I literally explained and gave you the example of how you are generalizing... You said African-Americans.You didn't say some.So it was as if you meant all.If you knew what a hasty generalization was you wouldn't have generalized. The n word was original a racial slur but some people use it as a slur to friends and yo is just a way to say hi. They are just slurs.The girls weren't uneducated because they made some valid point but the cursing was pointless to me. What do you mean by"ghetto slur"? are you talking about a certain group using certain terms?

Cursing doesn't necessarily mean you are mad. Body language can come into play. Cursing is the only way to get your point across.
